Thai fare and limited bar offerings in intimate digs, with takeout and delivery.
I came by for dinner one night and loved it so much I came back the next day for lunch! Like every one else said, the drunken noodles will blow you away. The pad woon sen was also SO good. They are definitely the best I've ever had! The prices were very reasonable, I don't think I spent over $20 for each meal. I'll be back when I visit NYC again.
Had a craving for Thai and this place had great reviews so.we thought we would give it try and we are glad we did! Food was fabulous, I had shrimp pad Thai that was amazing. My daughter had the drunken noodles which she said was delicious but very spicy. The service was pretty quick. The place had a warm cozy atmosphere. Will definitely visit here again when in NYC.
Greeted quickly and friendly. First time here the Chicken, Shrimp and Pineapple fried rice is DELICIOUS. Great portion, you can share it or save half for another meal. It has cashews and raisins yummmm. I also got the Thai Green Salad and Coconut Shrimp you get 3 shrimp but they are huge and it has real coconut flakes and not greasy! The salad was great as well, their Peanut dressing is perfect to me!!! The mango iced tea so good , not too sweet. Omg I wish they were closer so so can go at least twice a month!!
I tried the mock duck with cashews, and it wasn't as good as others I had tried before; the fried tofu was delicious, and the attention was great.
The menu has two prices: one for payment with a credit card and one for cash.
It's not a vegan place, but it has many vegan items.
Very good food served hot. Service is quick and food is flavorful. We ordered, Tom yum soup full of flavor and tangy
House soup was very nice garlicky clear soup with cilantro bursts as you have the greens
Steamed dumplings— they are big.. many Thai places sell sumai which are small but this one is full of shrimp and chicken
Cashew vegetable and red curry were full of flavor with the hot thi chili kicks on your lips at the right time.
Picked up food from nearby hotel. Fantastic. So good, great flavors.
Well it was through a fellow Eurasian sister Maria Bernadis Ali who is originally from the sister Republic of Greece that picked this particular Asian Indo-Chinese gourmet restaurant for our reciprocated interconnection when she was here in the Greater New York City metropolitan area territory upon sitting along the little island right outside the subsidiary Gourmet Deli serving our feather creature brothers / sisters Crow Rock Pigeon / House Sparrow / Starling Birds that catalysis for such social engagement where she chose it because of it’s specific convenience geographically plus price leverage where she covered the costs via either with a credit / debit card where we are health conscious order a vegetarian dish to consume with a option to finish it outside of it’s jurisdiction where it’s typically very Eastern like from chopsticks utensils to it’s interior design plus it’s proprietary utilizes traditional Woks for preparation well respectable etc!!!
attentive service and great authentic food that reminds me of my visits to thailand, always my go-to for thai in nyc
Food was good but the experience was ruined because the lady in the front was practically begging for a tip & her service wasn’t all that great.
Fast service and delicious food!
Excellent Thai food!!!!! Great value. Big portions! Came out fast. The Tom Yum Noodle Soup was incredible.
I love their tamarind crispy duck.
Had the cashew nut entree w/ mock duck and it was a very special treat.
Great food, great service!!!
Very chill place, good food and reasonable prices! Highly recommend the spicy potatoes
Staff was very attentive and food was good!
Great restaurant! Wonderful food. Quick service
Awesome Food.
Great job! All is good and it’s reasonable price. Feel authentic like eating in Thailand. 😋😋😋
อาหารอร่อย ถูกและดี รสชาติไทยๆ น้องๆบริการดีเป็นกันเอง
Great choice for anyone who love thai food 👍
Some of the best thai in the city
Very good food
The food was great!
This place is the best in town !
This is always my favorite place !!!! Highly recommended .
I always come here for lunch and dinner The food is really delicious and reasonable price . The service is great .
The service and the food is very bad and not friendly.
Sadly, this place was lousy. Had the pad Thai with pork and the meat was very fatty and rather tasteless. I went in for a quick lunch, was served quickly and waitress was good. Unfortunately the food just wasn’t.
Went to order the lunch special while on my lunch break. There was a woman at the front that appeared to have an attitude (don’t know why because the restaurant was literally empty only 1 table occupied). I asked her what the difference between the sticky rice and the jasmine rice was and she seemed annoyed, rolling her eyes and sighing as if I asked her to break down the entire menu to me. She knew she was rude because she immediately followed up with “How was your day” as if I didn’t catch her snooty attitude. Only because I had a few minutes left of my lunch break that I continued to complete my order and wait for my food. Either way this will be my last time spending money there, the food is mediocre to say the least.
1. Pretty sure it gave me food poisoning (which is in line with its GRADE PENDING health inspection); 2. drunken noodles were lukewarm with definitely old tofu, not spicy, and vegetables were barely cooked; 3. ambiance was completely dead; 4. prices were a ripoff for quality of food (>$20 for drunken noodles)
Was having a wonderful time until I looked down and was completely appalled
Lots of funny business going on the receipt
Make sure to check
I’ve even eating here for lunch for over a year and they have delicious food. Normally I get the basil eggplant, pad see ew or some chicken dish and it’s never disappointed. Their pad Thai is also delicious.
Came across this place by friends recommended. Their food reminds me of my trip to Thailand. Definitely come back.Staff are super friendly ^___^
great lunch special, very affordable. default spiciness is quite mild, make sure to ask for extra if you want that.
chicken pad see ew was good, chicken was a tiny bit dry. red curry with tofu was great
Place is amazing and great. Service is amazing. Food is amazing. Place is amazing. Saturday nights are the best time to come. I brought my girl here and she loved it so much that she let me hit that night. The server here helped me with the girl. He's my man. Come here if you want the girls and the food.
The food was okay! The service sucks, everyone looked like they hated their jobs and wasn't very welcoming. If you ask a question, they give you an attitude for no reason. Definitely will not be returning.
Super good food best Thai I'm NYC
Great local Thai place in Manhattan. Ordered the Drunken Noodles, Tom Yum soup, fried dumplings. Drunken Noodles is probably one of the best tasting Noodles I've ever had. The protein topping doesn't really matter, as the dish was delicious by itself.
Tom Yum soup was a bit salty but overall it was tasty. Fried dumplings were good but you could find hidden gems in the menu like spring rolls or others.
Lots of options for every kind of dish and it is rare finding a good sized restaurant in New York where u can escape the cold. This is my first Thai place but recommend it for anyone who wants a casual dine in with a variety of options.
HAIR IN FOOD
At first when I just learned about the spot, I thought it was really good and fairly priced.
After visiting a couple times, I’ve experienced several negative experiences. One server actually confronted me after I didn’t tip because of the terrible service. He isn’t working there anymore, but the new server/host is just as bad.
Today, I found hair in my fried rice, and after bringing to staff attention, they were adamant that the hair did not belong to any kitchen staff and I can eat somewhere else.
Terrible service, rude staff, un-hygienic: hair in food
The food was fine, but I’ve never seen a restaurant so blatantly trying to rip off its customers.
We ordered spring rolls listed at $7.95 on the menu. However, when the check arrived, we were charged $11.75. When we asked for an explanation, they said the price was for three spring rolls. Since we had five people, they decided to give us five “for the table” and increased the price without consulting us. If we had been informed, we would have been fine getting three and keeping the menu price.
Additionally, the restaurant imposed a mandatory 20% tip, which wasn't clearly specified anywhere, despite us only having five people.
When we tried to split the bill among friends, we realized they had tricked us. The receipt showed a total of $152.59, a discounted cash total of $147.43, and a $5.16 cash saving. However, our food total, plus tax and the mandatory 20% tip, came to $147.43. This means that paying by credit card incurs an extra $5.16 charge, rather than a discount for paying cash.
We chose this place based on its decent Google reviews, but we were thoroughly disappointed. I wonder how many people don’t read their bills closely and get ripped off without knowing. I will NEVER go there again and wouldn’t recommend it to ANYONE.
Honesty should be a business's top priority, but this restaurant is blatantly dishonest.
I tried the mock duck with cashews, and it wasn't as good as others I had tried before; the fried tofu was delicious, and the attention was great.
The menu has two prices: one for payment with a credit card and one for cash.
It's not a vegan place, but it has many vegan items.
Food was good. Service was very poor. My friend and I had to ask for water and when we asked for takeout boxes the container cover was stained. I also expressed a peanut sensitivity but they brought me an appetizer with the peanuts included. Most likely will not go back. Hope they improve
Worst mango sticky rice I’ve EVER had. Came with such a small serving of rice which looked as if it was thrown together. The mango was not cut correctly at all and they left seed scrapings on the mango. On top of all this, the rice and sauce was not sweet!! Waste of money and I bought TWO! Not even sesame seeds on the rice.
That was pretty good food. The food was quick.Who wasn't a long wait? The table was a bit small though and I couldn't fit all my plates.
This place does not accommodate large group of people. The restaurant manager was very dismissive. Overall, we felt unwanted and unwelcomed. I would not recommend this to anyone. I’m so appalled
The spicy Thai basil fried rice with duck was phenomenal! Hands down one of the best fried rice I've ever had.
The service is great and the staff is super friendly and welcoming.
Amazing flavor, great selection and good service with a smile. I'm happy to have trek'd past this place and experience a really good Thai dinner!
Great ambiance (on the quaint side), food and service. Went here as a recommendation from our hotel. It was about a 10 min walk to MSG/Penn Station. Restaurant was perfect for my group of 5.
So yummy! Drunken noodles, Pho and mango sticky rice. Highly recommended.
Delicious chicken pad Thai, highly recommend. Also the lunch specials are great with huge portions.
Great food ! Great service !
Drunken Noodles here are the best !
I had a lovely experience here! The green curry was amazing, the use of vegetables in the dish was amazing. I never had green curry quite like it!
Staff was friendly, kind and attentive! I will be back!
ทั้งบริการแล้วอาหารแย่มากๆ. อาหารไม่อร่อยพนักงานไม่น่ารัก.Too much attitude.
ขยันเร่งเราให้รีบสั่งแล้วรีบออก. อาหารมาแล้วไม่มีช้อน จาน มาวางบนโต๊ะ.
แนะนำลองร้านอื่นดีกว่าครับ
Ordered the Green Curry Lunch Special to go on Seamless and was very happy about it. There are four other Thai restaurants near this. I always get green curry. Of all the places I’ve been to, this one is creamy and not extremely spicy. The side spring roll and salad were delicious as well. The quantity of the container felt small but I was very satisfied.
Fantastic service, lovely vegetarian duck And shrimp and fair prices
Tried the Pad See Ew with fried tofu, spicy potatoes, and the Tom Kha soup. Everything was really good, and the spice levels were great.
Pineapple fried rice was not really fried. The whole taste a little dull.
They never gave out silverware
Everyone here is so friendly! My drinks were great and my friends loved their food.
Very nice restaurant with friendly staff and tasty food & drinks. I'd recommend to anyone looking for Thai food!
Loved the Thai Tea and Thai Coffee! Appetizers were good and so were the entrees. Definitely recommend for a quick lunch!
Very sweet people working here, food delivered efficiently and the pad Thai is great! Just what I wanted. Thank you
Totally bad services
A very standard mom and pop shop Thai spot. Nothing that will blow your minds, but also won’t disappoint too greatly. It’s especially good if you have a large party, they seated our group of about 20 folks for a Sunday lunch. Also relatively more affordable, so it’s a nice to-go spot.
A small thai restaurant that has food with great flavor and is well kept and clean. Even though the staff is probably low they try good customer care. However they had only one chef .. wait time 40min to an hour ..Definitely a great place to try if you got all the time in the world to wait and eat
My family and I had dinner there this evening. We had ordered the fried calamari as an appetizer - this was anything but a calamari. All you could taste was fried bits of who knows what. For the main dish, we ordered different fried rice entrees, and one noodle entrée. In all three there was barely any meat. To top it all, the waitress herself had decided how much of a tip she deserved, and they charged you even extra if you wanted to pay with a credit car. All in all, I wouldn’t recommend it.
Bomb Thai food 🔥. The summer rolls were so fresh and delicious with the peanut sauce. I had some crispy pork in peanut sauce over some broccoli with Jasmin rice and the flavor were bold and we'll balanced.
I'm a visitor to New York, and I had not eaten at a good restaurant until now. The food was so so good. It reminded me of home, and I wish I could eat the rest of my meals here. It's very cozy, the whole place is like the comfort of home.
Good food with generous quantities at a reasonable price. The service was friendly and well paced though there was a bit of a delay but a large table had just left. Overall I would recommend it as a good neighborhood place to go.
Thai food at a decent price. I just had the lunch special, green curry with chicken and sticky rice. Also got an egg roll. The curry was good and chicken was well cooked, but it didn't have enough curry paste or fish sauce in my opinion, a little bland. Sticky rice was maybe a bit hard as if it had been warmed up after precooking and freezing or something. Very informal dining room with good space between the tables. Service was fast. Not sure if I would go back but it was pleasant.
Great Thai spot!
First time customers. Very small portions on a take-out order. Almost no chicken in a half-full container for $16.95. Disappointing.
Nous avons très bien mangé. Du canard au tamarin et une salade de crispy porc. C'était généreux comme portions et avec beaucoup de goût. Le service était agréable et souriant.
Very good service !
Very tasty and generous size dishes for lunch special.
I love Thai food. This is far from being the best.
Service was very slow.
Tip was added to the bill.
I had a lot of lunches and dinners in NYC, but that was the first time that tip was added. We were only a party of two...
When asked, the server said that it was a current thing to add it and offered to remove it.
It was probably because he detected my French accent, and French have a reputation of not leaving tips.
Well, I have lived long enough in the US to know that I need to tip.
Nice thai
Great drinks, great food. The server was very attentive.
Aiyara Thai was a great finish to a busy day. I was staying around the corner at the StayPineaple Hotel. Solid reviews helped me make my decision—and I was not disappointed, plus the price was good.
The food was flavorful, with quality ingredients and thoughtfully packaged.
AC war zu laut, die Soße zur Sommerrolle war zu süß. Die Hauptspeisen waren ok.
One 1 person working, serving, cashier and bartender.
Food not spicy as expected.
Thisnplace refuses to do replacements. I asked for no peanuts and they... Said no. So. People with peanut allergies should avoid. There is literally a thai place two doors down. Just skip this place entirely.
In NY with husband to bring our son to an event. As we waited for him, we walked over to Aiyara Thai. Cute and friendly, but in my opinion... not authentic Thai. We ordered sampler and calamari, along with pineapple fried rice. 3 pieces of pineapple, very little scallion, and I saw no egg. 😕 I unfortunately did not get a picture of the rice dish. Food was a 5 out of 10.
Another hidden gem in Manhattan! Delicious Thai food in a cute little restaurant that is well decorated and conveniently located 5 mins away from Port Authority. Great service, cozy atmosphere and prices are very reasonable. Ordered a Drunken Noodle and Shrimp Wonton Egg Noodle Soup, they both did not make me disappointed, our server was very nice, caring and trying to explain everything on the menu to us while making helpful suggestions. Highly recommended if you are around that area.
Amazing food and cocktails! The Lychee martini and pad Thai with duck are to die for !!
Aiyara Thai was absolutely wonderful. The ambience was delightful. My husband and I came around 8pm on a Saturday night, and were seated immediately at a comfortable table that had booth and chair seating. Our server, Pong, was absolutely fantastic. He was polite, respectful, kind, and anticipated everything we might need for a great dining experience - from small plates for us to share our main entrees from, and additional spoons so we could eat our rice. I haven’t even gotten to the food!!! IT WAS DIVINE! The Tom Yum soup and Tom Kha soup were flavorful, delicious and made spicy as I requested (beware of requesting spicy, they will deliver on it! Ask for chili flakes on the side instead - lesson learned). We loved the drunken noodles with shrimp and the green curry with chicken as well! We even had the Thai Iced Tea and it wasn’t overly sweet, which we loved. Dinner totally hit the spot, the entrees were a generous quantity, and great service! We will be back! Thank you Pong!
Excellent food and service!
Delicious food, very friendly staff. Amazing service all round.
I was looking for a Thai place to eat. It was 🌧 raining that night. A friend phoned me and I stood in front of the door of this restaurant and it was so inviting....
So we went in and ate a great meat and had ourselves a great time.
I would recommend it!
Cashew vegetable and red curry were full of flavor with the hot thi chili kicks on your lips at the right time.
so glad I stumbled upon this place - pad thai is so good and affordable for the area.
Great service, no breaks
Chill environment. Was great for lunch.
This place banned me from ordering delivery for no reason. It is a couple blocks away so it was my go to for quick Thai. Seamless glitched and canceled my order multiple times one night. Next time I went to order, they called me and said they would no longer accept orders from me. I tried to explain the situation and they had terrible customer service despite me having spent over $500 there over the years in food.
This place is great. The service is great the food is great. It has vegetarian options though I recommend just getting vegetables over the tofu since it was too chewy. I recommend this place for Thai food in NYC
Good local Thai place on 9th Ave.
Not bad but since Thai is so good in NYC, not as good as others.
Arrived around 11:40 and the food arrived after 12:40. My colleague finished it in 5 mins due to a meeting. His dish seemed to miss some ingredient. Will never go back.
The best Thai food ever
Amazing food and the service was great. The blueberry mocktail is very good.
We had the basil fried rice with crispy pork and the grilled Thai chicken and one Thai beer. It was totally worth it.
Solid.
I came in here for dinner on the weekend. I ordered the Summer Roll as an appetizer and the Spicy Basil Entree with Shrimp. I liked the sizable portions, neat presentation, and friendly service. The Summer Roll and the Entree had super fresh vegetables with great-tasting sauces. If you like Thai food, I'd recommend this restaurant.
great place! prices are right and the food is delicious!
De Udon noodle met beef en ananas chicken smaakten allebei zeer goed. Daarnaast was de ober ook zeer vriendelijk en maakte die heerlijk zelfgemaakte ice tea
Ordered the drunken noodle with beef and the tom yum soup for takeout. I thought that both were excellent! Came out super quick and the employees were really nice. They also give you a generous portion of food for what you pay for. Will definitely be coming back!
Sweet and sour chicken, pumpkin roll, and volcano roll - bomb drinks.
Very disrespectful lady on the front desk. Didn't clean the table and argued. She was very rude
Great food and service! I really recommend this place!
I tried green curry on their lunch menu. It honestly could have been better for a Thai restaurant. Was good spot for a busy day in nyc. There was just one person attending to about 10-15 tables in the restaurant.
I wasn’t in rush but I understand they maybe understaffed for whatever reason. This one lady who was a solo champion of the restaurant was was doing everything running around I wish she could find more help
I'm from New Jersey. Ate here with some friends from work for a lunch break while working walking distance from this place. I got the Pad Thai lunch special thinking "it's the most basic thing, it can't be bad" it was bland, the sauce was just sweet no other flavor. The eggs smelled awful, maybe rotten. I ate only the veggies.
Spring roll was bland, the salad was warm.
All of that and it was pricey for a lunch special.
I'll try a different place if I'm in the area again.
Worst experience ever!!
I wish i could give them 0 star.
we love Thai food and wanted to give it a try but this place was the worst restaurant i ever ate!!!!, the food was gross and smelled really bad. 🤮 the service was bad!! we ended not eating and went to another place. do yourself a favor and go to other thai food. don’t waste your time and money!
Good food. Affordable prices. Friendly staff.
