Casual Thai restaurant offering traditional curry, noodle & stir-fry dishes, plus lunch specials.
The place is awesome and so is the service. The food is a good 4/5 and I’d recommend this place to a friend.
I got the lunch special which was relatively inexpensive. It was about 12.95$ for a spring roll and entree (free rice).
The entree (massamam curry) was delicious and they put lots of tofu, lovely yeah! I really enjoyed it with the Jaismine rice.
On the other hand, the spring roll was swimming in oil. I didn’t consume it as there was tooo much oil seeping out of it. I like everything else, the place ambience service and food.
A very good place, tasty food, reasonably priced, nice and quiet. We liked it. However, service could be better - we asked for a sanitizer and were directed to go grab it ourselves. We asked for a picture, and the lady had such a stoned face, we honestly regretted ever asking. When we were done, we asked for a check and it wasn't brought to us. We had to go and wait in line at the cashier to pay. However, because the food was good, we will be coming back, just not ask for anything :)
Omg! This place is absolutely a hidden gem! It is quite small and had a line to get seats. But it was worth the wait! Service was fast. Staff were polite.. not too engaging though. The food was absolutely amazing! A must try dessert is the mango sticky rice! Yummm! Will be definitely going back!
We eat Tai everywhere we travel. This is top 2 on our list of 40 years. Cashew chicken was awesome.
“Hidden gem hidden gem” No it’s just hidden. Me and my friends just wanted a nice meal after landing back in New York and we walked to the place dragging our heavy luggages around for over 30 minutes looking for this place, just to find nothing there. We asked around to get some help and everyone seemed to be confused cuz this restaurant just does not exist. We found this little door and we thought it may lead to a restaurant upstairs and to our surprise nobody would open the door even though we kept ringing it. I don’t know why nobody else is having this problem, are they closed or are they at a different location now? Whatever the case may be this restaurant was a waste of my time and i bet their food was a*s anyways.
I'm going to miss Peak Thai being on 49th st :'(
Fast service friendly staff

Got food poisoning
Great food at great prices! Super fast service. Amazing!
terrible food and even more awful service. the waitresses were rude from the start and did not answer any questions on the menu. when it came time to split the bill, the sign said we could use a maximum of 3 credit cards and apple pay was accepted. we had to provide the formula to split the bill, but the bill was split incorrectly. additionally, the waitresses were annoyed that we were using apple pay. there are so many restaurants around that have better food, better service, and don't act like you owe them.
The food was delicious but i asked for brown rice hey gave me white rice. even requested it in the notes. They acknowledged that i wrote it in the notes but REFUSED to make good and send me the brown rice. they have TERRIBLE customer service. I spent $70 on food and they would not make it right. shame on them
their pad see ew is one of my favorites in manhattan.
WORST RESTAURANT ever , i ordered a sushi plate thinking was a sushi combo with sashimi , (as shown in the picture) I receive two pieces of sushi which cost me 17 , absolutely ridiculous, the picture doesn’t match the food description on the app, literally just got scammed , the audacity they have to charge 12 on two pieces of sushi is insane.
Good food. Okay prices. Helpful service.
Great Thai food! Very fresh and all the dishes had great flavor. Loved that the noodles weren’t dry like a lot of other places.
‼️⚠️CAMARERA MALEDUCADA⚠️‼️
The waitress was rude and had a bad attitude.
The worst service I ever have had. The waiter never do something before you complain. Also you should wait for long time. Foods are very good and delicious. I am never gonna come back again.
So kind
I've been coming here for years now. The food is awesome. Classic Thai staples like Pad See Ew and the Massaman curry are always great, and the specials are also delicious. Love it here!
Ordered 2 entrees. Ehh.
So amazing the most wonderful Thai food I have ever experienced. 😍😍😍😍
A nice place for a fast business lunch. Better to go on the early side.
Great food in a nice location
Food was really good for a great price.
Eggplant basil is the best dish in Peak Thai
I had a wonderful experience! Definitely worth a try. (:
Rude servers, sticky tables, greasy food
will never go there again
Good prices and good Thai curries
Cute place and the food was good. I ordered a grilled thai chicken with vegetables and there was a brown rice option. The staff was friendly and attentive. Overall, a good experience.
Food is great definitely. Thai tea is delicious. We were in a table for 5 people and it took ages to order and to get our dishes.
HUGE Roach under the table. When I brought it to their attention, they neglected to do anything about it. Disgusting.
Heard good things about this restaurant. I ordered dinner for pickup, Tom Yum soup and Tom Yum rice dish. Upon arriving at the restaurant, the person from whom I picked up the food was not helpful. They got my food and then were not quick to provide silverware since I did not say to include it in the seamless order by mistake. They seemed put off when I asked for a spook and napkins. Won't go back based on that level of service.
Most restaurants in the neighborhood looked busy, this place did not. Tom Yum soup was okay, but the Tom Yum rice was bland and favorless. I would recommend going somewhere else.
Even after the inflation, still retains affordable lunch menu.
I used to go there a lot. When we were seated there was a HUGE cockroach in my water and one of the tables next to me tried to take a picture of it, but when the waitress saw this she just took it away without a word. It was disgusting and I don’t even understand how she was acting normal and trying to hide this. The kitchen must be full of them, be careful with your health. It’s dirty.
Really good food. Great service
Very reasonable. Very reasonable and delicious food. Excellent service.
I always get the green curry with tofu and vegetables because after trying it once I didn't want to try anything else. Spicy wings are also great. I go to New York a couple weeks every few months and this is one of a couple restaurants I always get takeout from, usually more than once.
Terrible costumer service, made me pay $20.00 for veggie basil fried rice ( lunch special ) then put eggs in there and told me I have to take it. Not the first time either. My co- worker also found a small roach in her spring roll also. Never going back!
Came here during lunch on a weekday with some coworkers. There wasn't a big wait, and the staff were really welcoming and warm. Once we ordered our lunch (we all got the lunch special), our salad and spring roll came almost immediately, with our lunches not far behind. Staff were always refilling our water (which should be a given at restaurants, but isn't always). If you're in Midtown East and want a good Thai meal at a fair price, Peak Thai is pretty good.
Great lunch spot, delicious food, great price point
If I could give a negative star rating I would. Ordered food. Paid for food. Charged for food. But food never delivered. I called and they said they would call me back as they wanted to check. Of course never called back. So I had to call again. And they told me we have no record of the order. And yet my card was charged. Very frustrating and a waste of time
If you're gonna offer pork, be sure to explain is just skin and fat. Crispy pork does not equal to pork fat and skin only, there is usually pork meat in it. Service wasn't helpful
Excelente comida tahi en Manhattan con buen servicio y precios accesibles..
Great food but delivery/pickup experience is terrible. Missing items, delayed pickup, and more. Once is a mistake but twice is a trend
Decent Thai food with quick service and friendly lunch special prices and it doesn't get too crowded during lunch!
Pad Thai w lots of chicken. Flavorful but need tamarind sauce and slice if lime to kick it up.
Scam & terrible customer service !
We were a group of 4 for lunch. While ordering we especially pointed on the menu at the lunch special deal which is $13.
The waitress scammed us and had us pay the full price (average of $15-$17/per person instead) and refused to acknowledge her mistake.
She said we didn't openly said "lunch special" and weren't specific enough. We literally pointed at the lunch special when we ordered.
Worst customer service I've seen in NYC, the waitress was extremely impolite and unfriendly.
I'll never set foot there again.

Nice small thai food place. Good quality food. Very good prices.
It's not great. Flavors are just off.
Amazing dinner. Get the Roti Massaman and the Curry Puff! Add a Snowy Beauty, and you’ll be set. Thanks for a great evening.
Avoid coming to this place. I got food poisoning from here.
pretty good for a fair price. not the most amazing thai food, but a good bargain for the price.
Placed phone order for pickup, told 20 minutes, get there after 20 minutes, approached counter, was told to wait, waited 10 minutes, nothing, checked again, was then asked to pay and told they are busy so it will take some time! It was already 30 minutes after my order was placed and it was a simply tofu pad Thai. Was simply asked “want it or not”? Not! Terrible service. Be prepared for long waits and pour attitude.
The food is excellent, in particular the Thai basil eggplant dish. Unfortunately at our last take out pickup, Nana, who served us, was quite impatient and unfriendly. Even when I smiled and thanked her when she brought out the food, she looked all annoyed. Not very professional
Great food and large portions!
The food wasn't all that great.
The staff was really terrible, they took a long time when the place was basically empty, they kept taking other orders before mine, and even though THEY took their time with everything I was rushed throughout my whole experience. Overall this place gave me really bad vibes, you can't serve terrible food AND have a terrible staff, yet peak thai has both. :/
Good for quick lunch
Food: The pineapple fried rice wasn’t cooked well and overall very bland. I’ve gotten drunken noodles twice, the first time it was overly sweet, the second time it was much better. The spring rolls are usually okay, I’ve gotten it a bit soggy some other times though. My favorite dish here is the roti on the app menu.
Experience: I usually come here for lunch and the service hasn’t been great. There are times when my table is completely neglected when other patrons come in and the staff aren’t very warm as well. My experience today has been especially atrocious with staff neglecting my table when I came in (not getting my order taken for nearly 15 minutes when the resultant is mostly empty) and now waiting for my check and the hostess forgetting and servicing other patrons and having to remind her twice.
Good price and really tasty food! We got the chicken satay, pad thai with veggies, and pineapple fried rice. Fresh ingredients and enjoyable flavors, even enough to save for lunch the next day - thank you!
Just tried the pad Thai with crispy pork, flavors were just meh. Delivery was fast and arrived hot tho 😑
Good food, cheap and very fast service
Best restaurant ever!!!!
The food is so delicious and the atmosphere is so welcoming
Good food nice stuff 👌 😋 👍 👏
The food is always great here and love the outdoor area - it's a bit quieter than the places on 2nd Ave. Great staff!
Food was delicious. I've tried 3 other highly rated thai resturants while visiting and this one is by far the best. When i received my order, it didnt stink up my hotel room. Sometimes asian takeout has a strong odor, hard to explain. Anyway, the chicken pad thai and the chicken green curry had a good ratio... they didnt skimp on the protein. The portion sizes of the entrees were enough for two meals, except i ran out of the rice.
I asked for sticky rice, thinking I'd be getting a full container of it, but i recieve half of a small container of it. The sticky rice was good, but i paid extra to has that type of rice and didnt receive an adequate portion.
I also ordered thai iced tea, which left something to be desired.
I would definitely order from there again.
Always do take out at Peak Thai. 3 blocks from my apartment so a very easy stop to order & pick up. The food is flavorful - more so than some Thai Restaurants. I am not adventurous with Thai...generally order a chicken or shrimp Pad Thai and dumplings or wontons - perfect match of 3 selections. The staff and service is very friendly and efficient. The well appointed dining area is simple, a bit rustic and casual. Interesting play list of eclectic music. Extremely well priced with generous portions. A pleasant experience, all around. I really need to take the time to dine @ Peak Thai at some point...
Omg! This place is absolutely a hidden gem! It is quite small and had a line to get seats. But it was worth the wait! Service was fast. Staff were polite.. not too engaging though. The food was absolutely amazing! A must try dessert is the mango sticky rice! Yummm! Will be definitely going back!
Simple bit good
Pad Thai and panag curry were great, definitely try the Thai ice tea though
The best Thai restaurant in midtown and perhaps in New York.
I got violently ill after eating here last night.
Lots of people
The restaurant itself is a bit small, so the number of tables can be a bit limited. They don't take reservations during lunch hours, so it's 'show up and hope'. I've gone twice (during lunch hours), and have never had an issue getting a table 🤞🏼. The food is pretty good though, and worth checking out.
Excellent food. Excellent service. Will come again.
Tried first time. The place has seating area and also offers take away. I must say that the Tom Yum shrimp soup was absolutely delicious. Very authentic tasty Thai. However my Sesami beef was a total disappointment (too salty and tasteless). Since the soup was so good, I must try again to other Curry delights rather than anything with broccoli.
Awesome spot for cheap Thai food and lunch special, very tasty and good value for the money, noodle dishes especially
My fiancé and I come here for lunch all the time. Their food is always fresh and delicious, hence why we come here all the time.
The food was right, but the staff alone made this review go down to a one star... They were horrendous. Attitude, timing, care; all bad.
Excellent Pad Thai et soupe Tom Yum à des prix imbattables
I would rate this place 3.5 stars if Google provided that option. Went there for lunch with a colleague. Standard lunch special menu. Food was ok, ambience was ok, service was ok-ish. Nothing bad to report. Nothing wow, either. Hence the 3.5.
Very Good food with friendly service. I ordered take out and it came very quickly and tasted great
The food here is really amazing and well cooked. You can tell it’s true authentic Thai food, cooked by a Thai chef. I usually get Pad Thai and theirs is really good. My friend had the Pad see ew and he raved about it. Either way you won’t regret it!
Completely flavorless pad Thai
Nice Place. Very good food but the Waitress was absolutely no kind.
Basic Thai
We randomly stopped by for late lunch. It's a authentic Thai food. The thai broccoli dish was so simple and delicious. Service was very nice. We will definitely go back.
Good food, great service. Bit pricey but it's NYC
Great food!!!
Great food, lots of choices. Love the Drunken noodle with duck or the Spicy Basil. They're always busy
Great tasting Thai meals. Kinda small space but cosy. Reasonably priced dishes and good service.
Worst food worst service they can’t handle too many guests will never go back you also don’t go in lunch time
Restaurant was recommended by the Concierge of a nearby 5 stars hotel. Went there for dinner with my wife and teenage son. Ordered the Tom Kha soup, Thai salad, the green curry, the sesame beef, the tamarind duck and the roti appetizer. Asked for Thai fried rice and sticky rice as side orders. We all agreed that this was one of the worse meals we've ever tasted. The mushrooms were out of a can, the veggies not fresh, the beef chewy the duck greasy and all extremely salty. On top of this, the waitress who served us seemed to be in a rush and was not helpful at all. In a nutshell this place was extremely disappointing needs to be avoided !!!!!!!!!
It's a small eatery but the food is very delicious and be prepared to wait for at least 10-15 minutes during peak lunch hours.
Consistently great food
Tiny portions for the crazy high price. Horrible service whether busy or slow.
Yummy food- spring rolls, steamed wontons, and pad Thai! They gave me a little bit of a hard time about my guide dog but they came around in the end!
Great thai food for very reasonable prices.
A really nice place for a tasty and affordable lunch!!! Seating is tight, but food compensates for it and you stop being uncomfortable as soon as they bring your order!!!
Worst wait time ever
Beef with egg plant
My seafood dish was generous and flavorful. Though the seating area was a bit small, the wait staff is friendly. Peak has more of a neighborhood restaurant feel than a tourist destination.
Congenial
my boyfriend and i were supposed to have our Valentine’s dinner at Allora, an Italian restaurant nearby, but they overbooked us and we decided to bail rather than wait. We called ahead and Peak Thai said we could walk in. It was fairly deserted, probably because people don’t think of Thai on Valentine’s, but we had a great time. Fortuitously, they had wine, which was a good touch. The menu has a great selection of curries, noodles, salads, appetizers, and pretty much everything you’d want in a Thai restaurant. We enjoyed our food and would come back again. They also didn’t kick us out even though we mindlessly stayed past closing time. Great service and great food.
Excellent drunken noodles. Good cheap Thai food (lunch menu). Crowded at peak hours.
Decor bit worn but food was good
There are not a huge amount of Thai restaurants in this part of Manhattan, but Peak is easily the best and most consistent. Be prepared for a wait at lunch time, as it is very popular with the staff and delegates of the nearby United Nations, but the wait is usually quick and always worth it for the authentic and tasty food.
