The place is very cozy and intimate. (I was here on a first date and it was a great spot). There were solid options on the menu. And the drinks were really tasty! We got the shrimp pad Thai (probably my favorite), duck rolls (so good) and Chicken Ki-Mao noodles (tasty).

I definitely suggest this spot for a date night or solo dining as you are in close quarters with others. Highly recommend!

Firstly, the atmosphere was authentic and really brings the Thai culture. The food was nicely done but there was nothing WOW. I do love how they place lychee in the duck curry it really balances the flavour of sweet and savoury. The highlight for the meal was definitely the duck curry and the dumplings that the friendly waiter recommended.
The service was fast and friendly but we're lacking with information. We wrapped things off with a cold bowl of mango sundae.

Easy to make reservations, friendly staffs. I highly recommend to ask for paper menu instead of QR code menu (so confusing). We were 5 people, order 2 appetizers and 5 entrees with 1 side dish. Everything was so good. I highly recommend the Tom Yum hot pot (decent size for sharing), and Chicken with Crispy noodles, also the Koong Curry!!

The food here is definitely a bit more unique than your average Thai restaurant, and the service is friendly. I enjoyed the appetizers, particularly the moo dang puff and had yai chicken, more than I did the entrees, although I REALLY don't get the hype around the duck rolls. It didn't taste bad; but there was barely duck, and a bit too much mushrooms. The entrees we ordered were good and hearty; but didn't really wow us. I would come back again if I was already in the area, but wouldn't go out of my way to dine here again.

Reservations essential - it was soooo busy (didn’t make for a very relaxed dining experience) - but popular for good reason. Nice veggie options. Enjoyed my buns, noodles and mango sticky rice. Reasonable value but not the very best Thai food I’ve enjoyed.

Great spot for a walk-in, but heads up—they only put you on the list if your whole group is there, and they’ll seat you once everyone arrives. You get 1:15 to eat, and while that sounds tight, it actually works perfectly. We didn’t feel rushed at all, and it’s plenty of time to enjoy the food. We were a group of 3 and ordered the Soothr Dumplings, Duck Noodles, and the Koong Karee (a mildly spicy shrimp curry). We also started with a spicy beef salad with a tangy vinaigrette—really good! The drinks are a big part of the menu, but honestly, they were too sweet and didn’t pair well with the food. We switched to beers, which worked way better. Overall, the food was amazing. To be honest, the whole menu looked like a win. We will be back

Definitely worth the hype! It was not that difficult to get a reservation but you’ll definitely have to do so in advance. The restaurant is big but tightly packed. Loved the ambiance and staff working there. Everything was so delicious but highly recommend the shrimp curry and duck dishes.

Valentine's Day was coming up so they had special Valentine's Day drinks but the signature dishes are so amazing!

So I was pretty hype up for this place so my expectations were really high when I was able to get a reservation. Parking due to congestion pricing was pretty easy. I was expecting out of this world kind of food but I was a bit disappointed, mix feeling is the best way to describe it. Some food dishes were awesome and some were total let down. Let’s start with the place and atmosphere, this is pretty much 5 stars, it doesn’t get better than that although small which is to be expected in NYC. Services were totally 5 stars if not 6 stars if that even possible, food came out pretty quick. So appetite, the duck roll was out of this world. It was simply amazing and I’ve never had a better roll than this duck roll before, crispy, not greasy and very flavorful. The Tom yum seafood was top notch, just sour enough, spicy but not so spicy that you can’t taste the other food, the best of the best. The beef pad si-is had an interesting taste, a bit sweet but very soft and tasty, pretty hard to make soft noodle this good. Koong karee was as good as everyone said it would be, flavor was explosive and the creamy was just the right thickness. Crab fried rice was average and nothing special, the crab had a fridge can taste to it so I would pass on that. The ribs were the worst of the night. It was too sweet, yet tender but dry at the same time. Maybe others might like it but it wasn’t for us at all and for 27, I was expecting much better. Dessert we got the sticky mango rice and that was awesome but the mango felt like it came from the can if that was the only complaint I had. I don’t know if it did came from the can but it just felt like it did. I think my expectations were too high and I’m not saying it didn’t deserve the Michelin but let’s just say it didn’t meet my expectations.

ive had this place saved for a while but i finally got to go today! i walked in around 5:10 no reservation and fortunately they had a table for 2 ready but the place was packed so i recommend booking a reservation in advance just in case :) they also had a coat check! the interior was even more beautiful than i expected. had a vintage vibe to it with a green bankers lamp and cool posters. our server was rita and she was so nice and attentive😊 she gave us recommendations and helped us decide what to get.
-thai iced tea 10/10: we both started off with thai iced teas which were the literal best thai iced teas we have ever tasted… so flavorful and perfect
-green curry nuer toon 9/10: so so amazing. came with a bowl of rice. little spicy but not too spicy at all. it was so delicious and the perfect amount of creamy. the beef was cooked perfectly and was fall off the bone style. not sure if there was a bone but uk what i mean.. i want to try their other curries next time
-chicken ki mao noodles 8/10: i only got one bite of this because my friend ordered it and it was my first time trying it so i dont have much to compare it to,,, but it was so delicious. my friend loved it so much. portions r big so she had to take the rest of it to go
next time i want to try their drinks cause they looked so cute. interior was amazing and had posters from in the mood for love. will def be back

Got here at a good time to walk in and sit at the bar. They had a firm hour-and-change seat limit but the service was fast and pleasant. I forgot to take a picture of the Yum Kaw Moo but that was definitely the favorite - so flavorful and perfectly spicy!

I used to love coming here, but the strict 1-hour-10-minute table limit is absurd. We hadn’t even finished eating, still had drinks left, and were hoping to order dessert when our food was taken away, and we were told to leave. The food is good, but not good enough to justify such a rushed experience.

I visited this restaurant on a chilly Sunday, braving temperatures below 30 degrees. Despite the freezing wait outside - 20 minutes for a table of four - it was well worth it. The restaurant was packed, but the staff seemed to have everything under control.
Our server, Sasi, provided a warm and welcoming service that set the tone for the rest of the meal. We sampled several appetizers, and each one was delicious. The service was top-notch from start to finish.
Overall, I was impressed by the efficiency and friendliness of the staff, even on a busy day. Highly recommended!

I went by myself and had about a 20 min wait (6:18-6:36). I was seated at the bar right where the drinks were coming out. Louis was my server and very kind and offered suggestions. I ordered All About Amethyst, Duck Noodles, and the Lychee Sorbet on top of a jello. Everything was absolutely delicious and the staff were on top of filling water and checking in.

This was a great experience and I can't wait to come back!

Great food, service, and charm. Brought my friend from out of town here for dinner without a reservation and we were luckily seated right away despite the restaurant being packed on a Thursday night. We both had Thai iced tea which were good. I had their version of the drunken noodle (I apologize I don’t remember what it’s called). My friend had the lychee curry with duck which she could not stop raving about - she claimed it was one of the best meals she’s ever had. I would not hesitate to come back!

You should make a reservation in advance or wait in line to eat at the bar. The restaurant is narrow but deep with lots of tables crowded in. The noodle dishes are good. There are not many vegetables in the dishes. We liked the complexity of flavors in the chicken khao soi and duck noodles. I might suggest asking for a knife as the meat pieces are big. The toilets in the bathroom don’t take toilet paper but the trash can for toilet paper is small, almost over filling. There are no paper towels to dry hands or foot pull so you need to handle to door knob and lock.

I recently visited New York City for a couple of days before heading back to Thailand and finally got the chance to try Soothr Thai with my friends. I’d heard great things about this Michelin-recommended restaurant and made sure to book a table through OpenTable so we wouldn’t miss out.

From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome. The host was friendly, and everything went smoothly with our reservation. Our server, Peary, was fantastic—attentive, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful with her recommendations.

We started with Thai Iced Tea, Thai Iced Coffee, Pork Cheek Thai Salad, and Thai BBQ Pork Puff. Everything tasted authentic and reminded me of street food back in Bangkok. For our mains, we had Khao Soi Chicken, Kra Pow Stewed Beef, and Kung Karee. The stewed beef was especially tender, and the flavors of every dish were spot-on. Even though I’m not a noodle fan, my friend loved the Khao Soi.

The service was excellent, with thoughtful details like offering chopsticks without us asking. I can see why Soothr Thai has earned its Michelin recognition. Great food, warm service, and a cozy atmosphere—I’ll definitely be back and recommend it to anyone visiting NYC!

I’ve been here six times in the last year… More than any other restaurants I’ve gone to consecutively. Hands-down, the best restaurant in New York City. Price is absolutely perfect, quality of food is incredible, and uniqueness of dishes can’t be found in any other restaurant in Manhattan. I highly recommend the lychee duck curry. Serving staff can come off a bit standoffish at times which would usually knock a star off, but the food is so good and so flavorful and perfect every time that the attitude simply does not matter.

Our taste buds were in for a treat at first bite. The food delicious and our server Louis was attentive!
We got two apps: eggplant salad and pak boong fai dung (sautéed morning glory in chili garlic sauce)

And then our entrees were khoong karee (which was sautéed shrimp in egg curry sauce) and duck noodles (caramelized duck breast over dry egg noodles)

For dessert we had of course the mango sundae! Thank you for an incredible experience Soothr!

Amazing Thailand restaurant! Highly recommend to try the Tom Yum seafood hotpot ! I was worried about the hotpot maybe be too spicy for me but thanks for my server Gavin gave me recommendations! (Super nice guy!) I also ordered Si-Krong Pad Ped and mango sundae which are super delicious! Definitely come back again!

Everything looked amazing so I asked my wonderful server Peach to pick a small plate and a main dish for me, with no restrictions (Peach made sure to check if I had any). I had the Moo Dang Puff and Karee Pu Noodles, both of which were cooked to perfection and incredibly tasty, and Tie Shan to drink.

Extremely reasonable prices and very friendly staff. Highly recommended.

Soothr has been a staple since I moved to the city for years. I always want to come back to get my favorites but also a new thing on the menu. So authentic, tasty and never fails to impress me. Nina has been our server and she makes sure to explain the dishes and ensures if we have ordered too much or too little food. Very enthusiastic about this place, it is always my recommendation to my friends/family. favorites are shrimp koong karee, panang noodles and spicy ki mao noodles.

Walked up at 5pm and got a great seat at the end of the bar for one. Ordered the first thing on the noodle menu, creamy crab noodles. Very very delicious. The seasonal cocktail was very good but not quite as special as I hoped. In spite of the hustle bustle, my server Siri was very attentive and thoughtful. The bar staff also took my order as soon as they saw I was ready. Well worth the splurge 🧡

Crab noodles were delicious - the sauce was reminiscent of mee rebus in Singapore - and Nina provided super attentive service!

The dishes here are absolutely phenomenal, each bursting with its own distinct, rich, and delicious flavors! I came back for my second visit today, and just like the first time, the food was amazing—especially the chicken khao soi. It’s creamy, savory, and perfectly spicy—an absolute must-try! I would highly recommend this dish to anyone visiting for the first time.

On top of the incredible food, my server Jenny was fantastic! She was so attentive and polite, making sure everything was just right. She always kept our table stocked with water and even cleared away any trash that could distract us while we enjoyed our meal. Such thoughtful service made the experience even better!

The food was so great. One of my all time favorites. Loved the Kha soi. My server was Nina. She did a great job explaining the menu, gave good recommendations. The service was every prompt, and they made sure to check in on us regularly.

Fantastic Thai food - they are still telling all guests about the 90 min limit immediately but they weren’t super strict in actually enforcing it.

The chicken khao soi really is mindblowingly good, the curry is among the best I’ve had. The panang curry with duck breast was also top tier, very tender duck.

The drinks were all well made and unique.

All in all a fantastic dining experience, I would absolutely come back.
