At Thai Villa, you will savor flavorful dishes rarely served outside of Thailand! When most people hear "Thai cuisine," they think about Pad Thai, Tom Yum, and other popular street foods. We serve these classic dishes. But Thai Villa specializes in sophisticated, little-known cuisine , originally prepared for Thai royalty in generations past. We want to introduce a new generation to these classically-prepared dishes and ensure they won't be lost. In fact, our mission at Thai Villa is to conserve Thai royal cuisine and share our love for this wonderful food with you. Bon appetit!
One of if not the best Thai restaurants I've been to. Absolutely beautiful interior creating a fun yet intimate atmosphere making it perfect for a date but also for a family/friends outing. The service was impeccable and the waiter checked up on us just just the right amount. As for the food, it was absolutely delicious. We tried many different plates and every single one was so good, unique and with such a multitude of flavors. The portions were also very generous. Our group of 4 left very happy and satisfied. I'm definitely coming back again when visiting New York next time.
I came here tonight and tried the vegetarian dumplings, Thai salad, and red curry. Unlike most Thai restaurants I’ve called in NYC, they make their curries without shrimp paste or fish sauce, making them vegetarian-friendly—a much-appreciated relief!
Vegetarian Red Curry:
The red curry was excellent, packed with a generous amount of vegetables and fried tofu. The rice served alongside was hot and perfectly cooked.
Vegetarian Dumplings:
The dumplings were warm and tasty but slightly overcooked, which made them break apart when held. I ended up using a spoon to eat them. The sauce served with the dumplings was a great pairing, but I might skip these next time to try one of their other vegetarian options.
Thai Salad:
The Thai salad was very fresh, though it felt a bit dry even with the peanut dressing provided on the side. However, it paired beautifully with the spicy sauce they gave me when I requested chili oil. Next time, I’ll definitely try the papaya salad instead.
Huge props to the service team! They were incredibly polite, attentive, and well-coordinated despite the tight space. Our food came out quickly, and the entire staff seemed to be on top of their game. Many restaurants could learn a thing or two about service from this spot.
This spot is extremely popular, and the tables are tightly packed. If you're dining with a group of more than four, I highly recommend making a reservation.
We walked in Sunday at 4:45 pm, 15 minutes of them opening, without a reservation and found the place was abuzz already.
We were seated at a table and informed we had 90 minutes. We quickly scanned the menu and placed our order. The service was quick and the food was super yummy. I got the Royal Thai Fried Rice which was marked with 2 red *, indicating it is fiery spicy and I found it not spicy at all. I let the waitress know and she was very apologetic. I feel they make their spices and it is not always consistent, which is characteristic of several south Asian cuisines, including my own (Indian). The food was delicious and very flavorful! And presented so well too!
To make the experience more stellar, the service was so quick that we were done eating there in 45 minutes - half the time allotted us. The meal sated our hunger and when we left, we wished we were locals so we could visit the place again. The staff are super courteous and super effective, love them.
This is a wonderful restaurant with a fantastic atmosphere that truly transports you to Thailand. The food is excellent, bursting with authentic flavors and beautifully presented. Every dish I've tried has been a delight, making it hard to choose a favorite. The service is equally impressive, the staff is attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu, always ready to offer recommendations. I highly recommend visiting this place at least once – it’s a dining experience you won’t want to miss.
Went to Thai villa after multiple recommendations from people living in NY. We were visiting the city and wanted something nice for our anniversary.
What could be better?
The place indeed was nice but very cramped seating. I could literally hear the next person on the table left and right to me. Even getting up for restroom was difficult without knocking of their cutleries. The drinks had too much ice in it so hot over pretty quickly.
What was good?
The staff were sweet and took care of us. Checked about every small detail, made recommendation and attended to us well. The food was good and the quantity was good too. We enjoyed eating here. The flavours were all there.
What we ordered?
We ordered 2 drinks, one starter and two main-course and it was super filling.
Please make a reservation, the place is super popular.
“We arrived earlier than our scheduled reservation, but that wasn’t a problem at all. The staff at the entrance were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was impressively fast. The only downside is that the seating is a bit cramped, as the tables are quite close together. Overall, a great experience!”
Good food, portion size could be increased like for rice. Papaya salad was not good with the fish sauce, shrimp powder. It was not that filling, the appetiser portion could be increased. Taste was good. Seafood fishy flavour was too much in the food. Some is good but more is not good.
Such a lovely way to round out our NYC trip! The food was delicious and we were so happy we abandoned our ordering game plan & took our server Tee’s suggestions. The house specialty short ribs & duck roll were perfectly flavorful and hearty after a long, chilly winter day! The Tom Kha was one of the most rich & flavorful versions I’ve ever had. & I’m normally not huge on Pad Thai, but these noodles were so fresh & savory. So glad we worked in a classic.
Highly rec you make a reservation on your way over. We waited about an hour and sat at the bar without one, not complaining tho- we got lucky to chat with Tee!
The decor is stunning. Great atmosphere for a date special occasion.
Loved the taste
This is the place to go for Thai in the city
I had an incredible experience at Thai Villa and can’t wait to return! The creative design of the restaurant immediately stood out, with its warm and inviting atmosphere that blends traditional Thai elements with a modern twist. The vibe was perfect—relaxed yet vibrant, making it an ideal setting for any occasion.
A special shout-out to our amazing hostess, Mimi. She was the highlight of our evening, going above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable experience. Mimi took the time to recommend the best dinner and dessert options, and her suggestions were spot-on. She also played a key role in making our birthday surprise extra special, showing a genuine care and enthusiasm for our celebration.
The service, food, and overall experience were beyond expectations. We’re already planning our next visit. 10/10—highly recommend!
Really nice place, I enjoyed everything. I ordered the lychee tea and it was delicious. Then I ordered the salmon cakes which it was so good. Then I ordered the crispy duck with a coconut sauce and it was delicious the crispyness and the flavor was great. Then as a dessert the banana crepe with coconut ice cream. The crepe was creamy and it melted in your mouth.
If you enjoy eating your meal like you're in a speed-eating contest, this is the place for you. The staff rushes you so aggressively, I half expected them to start chewing my food for me. If I wanted to feel this pressured while eating, I’d have just microwaved a Hot Pocket and risked third-degree burns.
I brought family here. Love the vibe. But only 3 stars for food
I ordered all my favorite Thai dishes that I typically get from any Thai spot, and for a little razzle-dazzle, I tried their limited edition dessert, and it completely blew me away! I also spotted a few other dishes I’m excited to try next time. I’d love to visit again during a different time of day to really soak in the vibe. The service was excellent! Everything was delivered and cleared promptly, making the whole experience smooth and enjoyable.
Can't miss Thai spot
Highly recommend!
Favorite restaurant in NYC
This place have great taste, also the way the food is served 🫰🏻
Get the duck. You’re welcome.
Food was so so good and the vibes were awesome!! I was sat at the bar, and the bar tenders were incredible. Tee and Kuka were very attentive, kind, and their skill for their job was very impressive! They were quick to make friends with me, and the whole staff was quick to welcome me and thank me for coming. Highly recommend!!
I recently dined at Thai Villa and had an amazing experience from start to finish. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, setting the perfect tone for a relaxing meal. The menu offered a variety of delicious Thai options, and everything was delicious.
However, what truly stood out was the service. Our server, Sofia, was exceptional. She was attentive without being intrusive and had such a warm, welcoming demeanor that made us feel right at home. She took the time to explain the menu and offer great recommendations, which elevated the whole dining experience.
Found Thai Villa off of Yelp.
Two of us ordered:
pad se ew $21
red curry $20
chicken satay $15
thai salad $13
Flavors were good. Definitely felt it was on the pricier side.
Ambiance is pretty dark inside. We didn't want to wait so we were sat outside.
Gorn was our server and he was friendly and attentive.
Had a great experience and the service was excellent and prompt. The server B Vee was great at giving her suggestions and extremely polite. The food was awesome. The table space was little tight
Love their food top service. Always good times coming to Thai Villa. Come with my family and friends. Waiters and waitresses have the best hospitality and really fresh food always. I give this place a 10 out of 10. Come here and it's always the best. Fresh and amazing ambience
Food is amazing, a bit spicy though. Service is too fast, feels like being served in a hurry. Atmosphere is very nice; although tables are too cramped up as if the table next to you are sitting with you. Overall a very nice place, just that tables need to be spaced out more.
Amazing place!
For the price point, pretty disappointing. Food was flavorless. Better Thai food in the neighborhood and more east.
Fabulous!
I had an amazing dining experience at this Thai restaurant! Their traditional dishes were outstanding, especially the chicken and rice in the lotus leaf—it was flavorful, aromatic, and beautifully presented. The balance of spices and fresh ingredients truly showcased the authenticity of Thai cuisine. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was friendly and attentive. If you’re looking for delicious, authentic Thai food, this place is a must-visit! Highly recommended!
My favorite place to eat when visiting! Some of the best Thai food I have had
The best Thai food we’ve eaten in NYC. Very attentive wait staff, with attention to detail such as changing the cutlery at each course. Any request was immediately met with. Thank you Bee and the other team members
It is deserved for 1 time visiting. Very pretty , but food is just in average
Authentic Thai cuisine. 5/5
Best Thai food in New York.
Great food
I’ve been to over a dozen Thai restaurants in the city, this is one of my favorites.
One of the most beautiful Thai establishments I have been to so far. The inside is done in a beautiful manner and the food was also as good as the place. The staff was amazing and recommended us dishes that we asked for. We wanted to eat something light and our host knew exactly what we needed.
It’s a big difference from visiting the restaurant or ordering online. It takes between 1,5 to 2 hours to get your food delivered, I experienced this now a couple of times. The food is great but if you’re in a hurry ordered somewhere else!
Very unsatisfying experience, I don’t know how this place is so popular but the food and the service is actually trash

Avoid this place at all costs.
Excitedly, I went there with my friends and ordered the duck dish yesterday. I'm a huge fan of duck. 4-5 hours later, I start feeling gassy. Give it one or two more, I am stuck to the toilet, between defecating and vomiting. It still hasn't gone away. It's been 12 hours. I just had some duck.
This Thai restaurant went above and beyond my expectations! The food was incredibly delicious, bursting with authentic flavors. The Pad See Ew and Papaya Salad with salmon were exceptional. The service was fantastic friendly, attentive, and efficient without feeling rushed. Shoutout to our server, Beam for making the experience even better. Overall an amazing dining experience. Highly recommend!
My party was rushed into finishing our food so that they could clear the table for the next party. Wouldn’t go here next time just to eat expensive decent food. Have been to much better restaurants with affordable priced meals with good service.
Delicious! My family has eaten here a few times. We live nearby & it’s been one of our go-to restaurants when seeing a Broadway show (very close walk to many Broadway theaters). I love the appetizers, the Panang curries are delicious, my kids especially love the spicy fried rice, drunken noodles & the Massaman curry. The food reminds me of our trip to Thailand, the taste is authentic, fresh & delicious. Also, the service is really excellent. We’ve had nothing but positive experiences here.
Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed!
Bon appétit!
Tee was an awesome waiter. He immediately suggested dishes from each part of the menu. Each of his recommendations were amazing. We picked 2/3 of his recs. The duck spring rolls were great and not too oily with plenty of duck.
The duck Chu Chee was absolutely elite. Like a must get everytime. Pad kea mao was very good as well and not too oily.
Place is awesome. The food is delicious, and there are plenty of traditional and special options. The inside is even better - it’s beautiful. Also, our bartender Tee was great. Super attentive and great menu suggestions!
This restaurant is an absolute gem! From the moment you step inside, the atmosphere wraps around you and takes you straight to Thailand. The décor is vibrant and beautifully styled, creating an ambiance that feels both authentic and inviting. It’s the kind of place where you can immediately relax and immerse yourself in the experience.
The food? Simply outstanding. Every dish I’ve tried has been a feast for both the eyes and the taste buds. The flavors are bold, fresh, and so authentic that it’s like a culinary journey through Thailand with every bite. Whether it’s a spicy curry, a fragrant noodle dish, or a refreshing salad, everything is expertly crafted and beautifully presented. Honestly, it’s nearly impossible to pick a favorite because each dish has its own charm.
What really elevates the experience is the service. The staff here are phenomenal—attentive without being intrusive, incredibly friendly, and full of great suggestions if you’re not sure what to order. They clearly know the menu inside and out and are happy to help you navigate it, ensuring you get the most out of your meal.
I can’t recommend this place enough. Whether you’re a fan of Thai cuisine or just looking for an unforgettable dining experience, this is a restaurant you need to visit at least once. Trust me, you won’t regret it!
Stellar Thai restaurant serving some of the most incredible food with equally outstanding vibes. A few friends and I were desperately craving good Thai food and, after stumbling across Thai Villa in our Yelp search, were immediately drawn in by the stellar reviews and diverse menu. The menu included the Thai restaurant classics like pad thai and pad see ew, but also a variety of specialty dishes and more unique finds. It extended across three pages and included two small flaps that fold out to reveal chef's recommendations depending on how adventurous you're feeling and/or your spice tolerance. If that isn't enough guidance, the servers are also incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, and they do a great job handling dietary restrictions.
As we walked in, we were warmly greeted by a lovely hostess and one of the most beautiful ceiling displays I've ever seen. There were thousands of what looked like golden leaves dangling from the ceiling, and they extended across the entire center of the restaurant. There were three rows of tables; the left-hand side was lined with beautiful wooden booths, and the center and right-hand side with several tables and lovely, super soft brown leather chairs. The walls and furniture were made with a gorgeous dark brown wood, which, paired with the ambient lighting, candles dotting every table, and glistening golden leaves, created a magical, woodsy ambiance.
And then, of course, there was the food. We got several dishes to share for each of the courses, starting off with their pomelo salad, tom kha, and scallop skewers. Each of the appetizers were outstanding -- the pomelo salad was incredibly refreshing, with generous chunks of juicy, slightly sweet, slightly tart fruit mixed with a slightly spicy vinaigrette. The crispy garlic and cashews offered a great crunch, and the salad came with a generous serving of perfectly grilled, tender shrimp. The light, refreshing salad was the perfect contrast against the rich, creamy tom kha, which was packed with flavor and so incredibly comforting. It was filled with various mix-ins, including mushrooms and plenty of veggies. We decided to each get our own cup of soup, since the other folks I was dining with wanted to get the chicken (which was also delicious and came with plenty of chicken), while I am pescatarian. The best bite of the starter course, however, had to be the scallop skewers. They were truly worthy of being one of the chef's signature items, as they were remarkably tender and almost butter-like, with a wonderfully crispy outer shell from the perfect pan-sear. They were marinated in "secret Thai herbs" and then topped with a Thai sweet chili glaze, giving the scallops the perfect symphony of sweet, salty, acidic, and umami flavor notes.
For our main course, we decided to do another mix of classic and chef's specialty dishes with the tofu green curry and branzino larb. The green curry was rich and flavorful; it definitely had a bit of a kick to it, but, especially when paired with a bit of rice, wasn't too crazy to handle. The comforting, creamy curry sauce was packed with all kinds of delightful veggies, most prominently the most tender slices of eggplant, and plenty of fried tofu, both of which acted as the best little sponges to soak up all the curry flavor. The branzino was equally delightful, starting off with an impressive presentation. They served the dish on top of the whole fish, which had been filleted, fried, and mixed with plenty of seasonings. The slices of fish were tender on the inside, with a perfectly crispy shell that was loaded with chili and roasted rice powder. It was all mixed with sprigs of mint and kaffir lime, as well as thin slices of red onion, which offered a great hit of freshness and kept the dish from feeling too heavy or oily. It also came with a light, refreshing chili-lime dressing which also brightened up the whole dish and brought all the components together.
Nice
Pad Thai is delicious and our waitress Bee was great with us, she recommended us the best. Nice restaurant for sure I’ll be back soon!
Quick, great food, great ambiance
Great food, service and cocktails!
Came in here on a whim one night. Will definitely be revisiting again in the near future.
The atmosphere and the service was great but the food is not authentic Thai. It's ok.
Although we had a reservation, we waited 25 minutes at the entrance until a table became available for us.
Less than an hour later, we were presented with the bill without being asked if we wanted dessert. The impression was that they wanted us to leave.
The food was okay—some dishes were better, some less so—but the way we were treated at the beginning and end of the meal was disrespectful.
Service and atmosphere is very good. The food is far away spicy.
I visited Thai Villa with a group of six to celebrate a birthday. Upon arrival, we were informed that our dining time was limited to 90 minutes. While I understand that some restaurants have time restrictions, this policy felt both limiting and inhospitable, especially for a special occasion. More importantly, it was not communicated when we made our reservation or during the confirmation process—it was only mentioned once we arrived. This lack of transparency was disappointing, as we felt rushed during what should have been a celebratory experience. Had I known about the time limit in advance, I likely would have chosen a different venue. That said, I want to acknowledge that the food was excellent, and our waitress, Bee, provided outstanding service.
Food was great, service was good. Our party of 6 enjoyed all meals but we were put off by the constant reminders of a 90 minute time limit while being seated for a reservation that was made in advance. The hurry up and leave vibes will not have us revisiting, our tab was about $600.
Despite a demanding schedule, this establishment is highly recommended. The food and service are exceptional.
Thai Villa is wonderful. Excellent menu and even better service. I went in on a whim on a rainy day when I was running errands in the neighborhood and was helped by Tee at the bar, who made the best recommendations. The royal Thai fried rice is exactly as good as it sounds.
Operating a restaurant in NYC, we expected a higher standard of service, but our experience was riddled with unnecessary frustrations. First, we were blindsided by a charge for what we thought was a complimentary birthday dessert. The host discreetly asked if a lava cake was okay, but never mentioned it would be added to the bill. It’s not the cost that stings—it’s the lack of transparency and the principle.
On top of that, the server hurriedly cleared our appetizer plates, including one with peanut sauce that my wife wanted to pair with another appetizer. When we requested more, we were told it would cost an extra $4. For a highly-rated restaurant, this came off as incredibly stingy, as if they were trying to nickel-and-dime us at every turn.
This wasn’t just any dinner—it was my wife’s 30th birthday, a major milestone. While the food, atmosphere, and overall service were good, these moments of dishonesty and pettiness completely tarnished the evening. For a restaurant of this caliber, such practices are unacceptable. We would not return.
Good food, portion size could be increased like for rice. Papaya salad was not good with the fish sauce, shrimp powder. It was not that filling, the appetiser portion could be increased. Taste was good. Seafood fishy flavour was too much in the food. Some is good but more is not good.
Amazing service and great quality food!
Pretty good but not the best
Good take out
slapped hard
Had an enjoyable night there for a group booking fundraiser. Green curry and Sweet and sour beef, was delicious. Great attentive service. Will return.
Service and atmosphere are great but food does not meet the mark. I have been here 3x and each time they food wasn’t too exciting. Papaya salad doesn’t have the authentic spicy tangy flavors and the tofu pad kaprow was just a plate fried tofu with minimal basil and long beans. Great ambience but food is very average at best.
As someone that’s gone to Thailand 3 times for a month. I can say that this place does give you that feeling of being in Thailand. The waitresses and waiters are mostly Thai. The atmosphere is nice. You know the service is good when I didn’t even notice them filling up my water glasses lol. Only small complaint honestly are the prices. $12 for a mocktail is a bit steep. Entrees range around $30+ but it’s NY so I guess it’s expected. All in all, good time.
Good
This place is the best! Our server PJ was fascistic, the food was incredible, what a wonderful place 🙌
Went to Thai villa after multiple recommendations from people living in NY. We were visiting the city and wanted something nice for our anniversary.

Please make a reservation, the place is super popular.
It's perfectly acceptable. Don't get the popularity and the accompanying attitude, though. Nothing seemed particularly extraordinary about this place.
I’ve never been to a Thai restaurant and wasn’t sure what to expect. The service here was very welcoming and the waitress was very nice and made sure I was comfortable. I got the Panang Curry which was really rich with flavor. As a person who likes spicy foods I really liked the Panang Curry. I also got the papaya salad as an appetizer and it was really something I did not expect. It had a kick of spice which really elevated the dish. if you’ve never tried thai food and trying to find a place to go to MOST DEFINITELY RECOMMEND going here!!!
Gorgeous restaurant with beautiful decor and delicious food. Didn’t sample any of the cocktails this time (this was my 2nd visit). Arrived as a walk in for a party of 3 around 5:40pm on a Sunday and was added to ten waitlist. It’s a popular place so I’d recommend a reservation. Around 6:30pm, I got a call and a text that the table was ready and we were seated shortly after. Service was quick and they do have a 90 minute time limit, but it didn’t feel particularly rushed.
We love this place but…. They got too greedy. $18 duck roll. One spring roll. Come on… seriously that’s the most expensive spring roll in the country, possibly.
The food here is phenomenal!!! I love every dish we ordered! Truly authentic!!! My favourite dish would be “Pla Lui Suan” (deep fried fillet of Branzino fish)!! Oh my goodness it was just out of this world. It’s so flavourful. Also do looooooove
the Tom Yum soup!!!! Ambiance is perfect! The service was also quick!
This is my FAVORITE Thai place ever!!!! I will make a reservation here any day and always order this for food delivery.
The quality of the food here is unreal - my go to is the basil fried rice with beef and it has the best flavors. Plus the portions are large in a good way, so it always lasts me 2 meals.
Do NOT skip out on dessert either. You will be drooling over the chocolate Thai lava cake with vanilla ice cream and the mango sticky rice with coconut ice cream. They are incredible; I need to go back and try more of their desserts.
The ambiance in there is loud energy and it's very beautiful. Please bring your friends here ASAP.
Beautiful interior! Great service and food is sooo AMAZING! Went for my friend’s birthday. She’s been before and made sure to book at least 2 weeks in advance! They charge $50 per absent person for reservations so share that with your party when planning. 😊
I came here with some friends recently and we were very happy with the food. We ordered green curry, pad thai, pad see ew, and kee Mao. The portions were great in my opinion, considering this is located in Manhattan. The waitress was very attentive to our table. You can make reservations online on their website, but beware that they charge $30 per person if you cancel last minute.
I didn't take any photos but after many random attempts to go here being met with long waits, we lucked out with an early dinner and got right in.
First of all this place is designed beautifully and they used the space so well.
Secondly, the staff was super friendly and just awesome. They even laughed at my bad dad jokes.
Lastly and most importantly the food was great. Had the Chicken Satay because peanut sauce is life and then tried for the first time ever for me the Kea Mao with chicken and it was incredible.
I can't wait to go back and try other items but will always get the chicken Satay because like I said PEANUT SAUCE!!
Cute place nice decoration
Food and service are good.
Despite They tell me I have 90mins to eat.
We had the Tom gai soup - coconut mild base with a tangy flavor.
The royal pad thai- nice presentation, maybe the regular pad thai would just be as good
And had the Chileans sea bass with the coconut soup based
It was good
It would have been nice if they told me the soup based for my fish is the same.
This is a wonderful restaurant with a fantastic atmosphere that truly transports you to Thailand. The food is excellent, bursting with authentic flavors and beautifully presented. Excellent Thai food and service was just as wonderful. Probably the friendliest staff we encountered in NYC. Every one was all smiles and happy. Drunken noodles were excellent with perfect spice. We also tried the sea bass which was very light/refreshing.
Best thai food after suko thai in Toronto.
I’ve come many times to this restaurant because the food is good but I won’t ever be coming back after my last experience. Extremely rude manager. Customer service is not a thing for this restaurant.
We went to Thai villa on the recommendation of a friend. The decor was different and nice. Staff was courteous and responsive. We ordered Pad thai, fried rice, thai green curry with Jasmine rice and some vegetables followed by dessert. The food was delicious
Service rushed us. Portions were small. Go to Up Thai instead.
Has to be one of the best Thai spots in the city! Such a cute atmosphere for a date or just a friendly dinner. Food will not disappoint!
Best Thai place in the city.
One of the best Thai restaurant in NYC. Highly recommend Scallop skewer and the fried rice.
Ordered takeout from here. The curry was delicious but pad thai wasn’t very fresh. Might have been different if we ate at the restaurant.
I love Thai food and this was the best Thai food I have ever had. We're from Vancouver and there are lots of Thai restaurants here but Thai Villa is a step above them all. Delicious food, interesting dishes, well balanced cocktails, friendly and professional staff and a cool atmosphere. Next time we're in NYC, will definitely come back for more. Consider making a reservation as they're popular:)
Very busy and bustling restaurant
Had a lovely time here being served by Bee. Excellent service and great food! Atmosphere was quite nice too, a little loud for my tastes but you can expect that on a busy night at any restaurant
The best Thai you will have in NYC bar none.
They rushed us to eat and all they care about is seating the next person as soon as possible. Please save your money and do not come here. Very overpriced food and very small serving size. EXTREMELY rude staff from hostess to the waiters none of them are kind. I don’t have an issue paying more for a meal but i see no reason to pay so much for a subpar meal when they are just rushing to kick you out anyway. Thai people are very kind people but the people who work here are not a good representation of thai people
The service was excellent. Very helpful with the menu. The place was packed...always nice to see. The food for me was too heavy. Much to heavy on the lemon grass, garlic and fish sauce. To me, these should enhance, not overpower. I felt it was also very high priced for Thai food. Chicken Satay, curry puff appetizers, three martinis, three beers and four mains....with tax and 20% tip (that they add on for you).....$444.00. We will try another place before going back.
Food and drinks were great and came out very quickly.
No high chairs or changing tables for kids
5/5! Food, service, and atmosphere were amazing. We came without a reservation and waited for about 30-45mins, which was okay because i was too busy admiring the interior of the place.
The dishes we ordered were delicious! Flavors were there and hit all the right spots. I personally could not get enough of the crab fried rice! And the mango sticky rice? To die for!!
Service was amazing! The lady that helped us was so friendly and even sang my friend a haply birthday!
I would definitely go back!
Just an amazing place - wonderful friendly staff, extraordinarily good thai food as good as in Thailand itself. The way the restaurant was designed was spectacular itself, such good vibes and energy. And the crazy part is that the prices are so affordable. One of the best pearls of NYC. 10/10
Overall this place is 5/5, with an exception of food as 4. The only reason being, is they accidentally served us raw chicken satay. However, they were extremely nice, and accommodated us by switching it with the curry puffs, and taking it off our bill.
I recommend the Basil Fried Rice, it is SO good. I ordered it with mock duck, which I've never had and it was delicious. I don't eat meat so it was nice there was an other option besides vegetables/tofu. Also, the Tom Yum Sook Soup is delicious. If you love lemongrass, you will love that soup. I would say the prices are reasonable, and you get great portions. I want to go back to try the catfish salad.
Decent vegan options as most of the dishes gave you options of veggies, tofu, or mock duck as the protein. I tried the green curry with mock duck which was vegan and it was spicy, delicious, and flavorful. The waiter asked us about allergies and seemed knowledgeable about the menu but the menu wasn’t labeled clearly. The atmosphere was nice as well
Thai Villa offers an authentic, elevated Thai dining experience in a beautifully decorated space. The menu features traditional dishes with rich flavors, fresh ingredients, and well-balanced spices. Standouts include the red curry sauce and Tom Yum soup. Attentive service and a cozy ambiance make it perfect for special occasions or casual meals.
This Thai place is pure magic! Every bite was a flavor explosion. It's a bit of a squeeze during peak hours, but the food is worth the wait.
The short rib is not fresh. Even with a lot of spice, there is still fishy taste in the rib. low quality food, overpriced. I guess the only good part is the decoration
I am bit late in writing this review but we celebrated my husband’s birthday by having dinner here . Unlike one restaurant I know which is very fussy in making reservations, this restaurant opens reservations on Resy 14 days before. It was very smooth to make reservations. They do accept walk ins but I highly suggest to make reservations.
We went on Wednesday evening and the restaurant was heavily packed indoors and outdoor and there was a waiting for walk ins.
The decor is really nice! Our server was very informative, and even though like most restaurants this restaurant also has a time slot of 1 hour 30 minutes but we were not rushed at all.
They are very accommodating in changing the meat if you don’t eat( that is if they can) but at the same time they also have a lot to choose from, if you are vegetarian.
We ordered five appetizers and all of them were absolutely delicious. Each of our main course was the same. Portion was generous but I recommend to order per person each main course, unless you have really poor appetite.
Since NYC has so many restaurants, we don’t repeat the restaurant but this one would be an exception!
시간 제한 있고요. 맛 그냥 그런데 핫플이라 사람 많고, 주문도 빨리하라고 독촉? 하는 스타일입니다..;;
Every single thing on the menu is delicious! Very warm, inviting staff in a rustic-meets-contemporary design. A+
We walked in Sunday at 4:45 pm, 15 minutes of them opening, without a reservation and found the place was abuzz already.
This took 3 hours to deliver and we are 2 blocks away. This was a terrible experience
Food is perfect.
This place is worth all the hype. Went there on a weekday and was super packed.
They have both indoor and outdoor seatings but avoid seating on level 2 if possible as that section is really small and can get very noisy.
Ambience was good and will definitely give upscale vibes.
Tried Mango Sunrise mocktail and was fantastic. Staff was kind enough to custom make Jain Pineapple Thai Rice and Pad Se-Ew. Food was good but found it to be a bit bland especially Pineapple Fried Rice (for someone who prefers spicy food)
Will definitely visit this place again and hopefully it won't be this bland.
Really good food.
Honestly one of the best Thai places I’ve been to the nyc in terms of taste and I’ve probably been to 30+ Thai restaurants in nyc
Food was good but nothing that stood out to me personally. We got four different dishes. Decor inside is nice but tight. The ladies in the front were not warming and actually quite rude, especially the chubby one
one of best thai in nyc
Best food and best atmosphere. Can’t be best. Some of the best service in the city too
