Thai family business
On our 5th day in New York, we stumbled upon Zoob Zib Thai Authentic Noodle Bar.
This restaurant is only 10 minutes walk from the Hudson’s Yard (& the Vessel)
Honestly, we did not get much photos as we were starving.
We were seated as soon as we arrived, first impression - it’s nice & cosy and staff are friendly & welcoming.
Quick and easy process with ordering our food, which came out within 10 minutes or so.
My son & I (plant-based) shared tofu & veggie fried rice as well as a bowl of their ‘Healthy’ soup.
My partner and our other son shared the stewed beef noodle soup as well as crab meat fried rice.
We then went ahead and ordered / shared a plate of their mango sticky rice.
Hands down, the best Thai food we’ve come across in New York!
Overall: staff were friendly & attentive, food was amazingly delicious and price wise - great portion & affordable!
Highly recommend!
I loved this place!
The food was reasonably priced and very tasty. The service was good & the staff were friendly. Not too chatty but done their jobs well.
The starter tasted so good. I could go back right now & eat it again.
This is a small cosy restaurant & one you should definitely visit for a tasty meal
If you love Thai food, you absolutely have to check out this place!
Yok was our server, and she was fantastic at helping us pick out the best dishes.
The food is delicious, the Thai iced tea is refreshing, and the atmosphere is vibrant. Plus, the service is top-notch!
As Arnie would say, “I’ll be back!”
Absolutely loved my experience at Zoob Zib Thai Authentic Noodle Bar! The flavors were incredible, and the dishes tasted just like the street food in Thailand. Their noodles are perfectly cooked with rich, aromatic sauces that hit every note. The Pad Kee Mao was spicy and loaded with fresh basil, veggies, and perfectly tender meat. The portions were generous, and the prices are reasonable, especially given the quality. The atmosphere is cozy and authentic, and the staff is super friendly and attentive. Zoob Zib has quickly become my go-to spot for real, comforting Thai food. Highly recommend!
So many nice things to say about this place. Me and my co-worker love Thai food and we decided to come here due to how close it was to our hotel. We arrived around 815pm and the place was packed. We were seated very quickly. It is very tight inside but cozy and quaint. My coworker ordered the lychee martini and pad see ew and I ordered a pad Thai with a few modifications and to make it spicy. Everything exceeded our expectations. Even the water was delicious. So crispy and clean tasting. Very affordable for being in NYC. We will recommend this place to everyone. The service was fantastic as well .
Friday evening around 7 pm with no reservations, we were quickly seated at a table for two between two other snug occupied tables. Basically a long communal table type of setting. The place is tiny and was bustling. The service is like a well oiled machine without any pressure to rush through your stay. All staff is extremely attentive, they see everything and attend to it immediately, always with a welcoming and friendly no nonsense approach. We shared the appetizers Moo Ping and Puff Curry. The Duck noodle soup as the main. Having it elsewhere, the soup is the real deal. We each had a decent cocktail instead of dessert. Holy crap, it was absolutely delicious. They do not cut corners. It reminded us of a Bouchon Lyonnais (France) but much smaller and with the enjoyment of taking all the time we wanted. If you know what that is, you know what we're talking about. We're Canadian/French. Affordable and true to what you order. If you need your space and quiet, it might not be the place for you. We're going back the next time we're in NYC. Half tourists, half New Yorkers. Loved it from start to finish. The food. My god.
Amazing Drunken Noodles and Fresh Summer rolls. Seating is close to others. A lot of fun vibes and energy. We needed up talking to the couple at the table next to us and had a great time.
Pad see ew and Pad Kee Mow (drunkin noodles) were amazing!
What a hidden gem on 9th! The Duck Pineapple Curry for lunch special was the perfect portion, spice level, loaded w crispy duck. Serving till 3:30 pm. Hit it up!!
Love their drunken noodle with shrimp ( Pad See Ew)
The BEST!!! Excellent food - every time. Staff is super friendly.
The food portion was decent, and the spring rolls were really good. However, the Pad Thai was a bit too sweet for my taste, and the green curry was extremely spicy. The service was excellent—our server was very welcoming and kind. Plus, there was no waiting time, and everything was served quickly.
They have the best Tom yum soup in the world!
Nice place .good food. small portions
I ordered a pad kee mao via seamless. I chose medium spice. I also asked for no egg in my order (Eggs make me sick). What arrived were burnt, tasteless noodles covered in eggs. I tried removing the egg and eat it anyway, but the taste was so bland with no spice whatsoever, I ended up tossing the entire meal. I’m a huge fan of Thai food and have had it all over the city as well as in Thailand. This is easily the worst I’ve ever had. I do not recommend.
Great service, great food. Go there
Best pad Thai I’ve ever had in my life! The service was amazing and the crab rangoon was delicious
The pad kee mao was one of the best I had in my life.
Great food, amazing service.

Great place, fast service, delicious food. Recommend duck over rice and fried ice cream! Thank you, we will be back again
Khao soi was INSANELY FIRE!!! awesome place
Springhill Marriott hotel recommended
Woefully disorganized. Every time I order takeout from them, it takes longer and longer. Today they set a record. I placed a pickup takeout order for one person at 12:28pm. Promised at 1:13pm, that's 45 minutes! Finally received my order after multiple reminders at 1:38pm, 25 minutes late and 1 hour 10 minutes after ordering. It would take me less time to cook it myself from scratch. Do not order takeout there!
Food is delicious and service is great. It is a small establishment that is maximizing every square inch to seat and serve you. You come here for the food that is consistently good.
Charged $20 for 2 Oz Jameson and gave food 20 mins late
Be careful coming here, I am assuming they scammed us because we seemed like tourists. Ended up with a 16% service fee and 18% mandatory tip for a party of four people which wasn’t mentioned to our party. Food was mediocre but their Thai tea was good! Wouldn’t recommend tho.
Update on 01/11 - Leaving the receipts which clearly show the name of the restaurant and how there was an additional service charge on the initial receipt and an extra mandatory tip on the final receipt (where the totals don’t match which is even more confusing). There was no communication regarding this so I have no issue posting this review to warn others on watching out for unexpected hidden charges.
I make it a point to go to Zoob Zib at least two to three times a year when I come in town for the National Retail Federation conference.
This is an excellent stand out restaurant and I love it!
Great service with flavorless food.
My daughter and I were vacationing in NYC after Christmas and stopped here for dinner before a show. It was a Saturday night, and even though they were busy, we were seated pretty quickly. We both ordered Pad Thai and Thai Tea. They both were delicious! The prices were reasonable, the service was excellent and everyone was so nice. We were amazed at how well run the restaurant was for as busy as they were. We will absolutely go back here the next time we visit the city! I highly recommend it!
Service was great. Food met the basics culinary requirements.
Excellent thai food packed with flavour! Small, buzzy, popular restaurant.
Nice, small restaurant with very nice staffs! The music they put on was very vibey and cute so atmosphere was great.
We tried the Mango Salad, Tomyum Soup, and Pad Thai but only the pad thai really stood out. The Tom Yum was pretty bland and though you can’t see it in the picture, the pairing of chicken and mushroom was pretty surprising to me. This was my first time trying the Mango Salad and the ingredients of mango, cashew nuts, and carrots looked very appetizing but you can only really taste the mango in the dish. However, the Pad Thai really pulled through and was nicely seasoned!
Food came in decent portion though.
horrible service, food taste is too salty. if you have good tips, you guys improve service and attitude. just like money(tips),customers feels so annoying.
Meraviglioso, abbiamo preso i noodles al curry con gamberi, spettacolari!! Consigliatissimo!
If you are looking for bang for your bucks that won't break your pocket and tasty food and drinks...try them!
Trust me, I’m actually doing you a favor not explaining why one star.
Super adresse

Highly recommend!
I wanted to try Thai food and found this place based on Google ratings. Unfortunately, the food is not authentic nor delicious. The portion is small. It’s not even close to the authentic Thai food I tried in Philly. Cannot believe a restaurant like this could survive in New York. Would not come back or recommend to others. The two stars are for the service.
The Rama sauce peanut chicken is very good.
J'ai adoré le Pad Thaï Poulet! Quel régal! J'ai pris à emporter, j'ai attendu quelques minutes à peine. Très sympa. J'y retournerai très certainement.
Basil fried rice with chicken was very flavored and a nice decent level of slice. Skirt steak appetizer was just ok, wouldn't get that again
I can not believe how delicious the food was here. I got the beef noodle soup, and the beef was perfectly cooked: tender, juicy, and biiig flavor in every bite. My bf had rice and said he could've eaten a whole second plate. The service was excellent, we were greeted, lots of friendly, non-judgey staff, efficient teamwork. Highly recommend for very delicious + affordable food.
Good service and good food
What to eat here: Pad Thai Noodles or Drunken Noodles.
This place has the best Pad Thai and Drunken Noodles in the city!
What not to eat here: Any of the curries, Desert.
There are mediocre.
A definite authentic Thai restaurant to visit. Great for those visiting NYC to experience one of the best.
Great food and service
I loved this place!
The food was reasonably priced and very tasty. The service was good & the staff were friendly. Not too chatty but done their jobs well.
The starter tasted so good. I could go back right now & eat it again.
This is a small cosy restaurant & one you should definitely visit for a tasty meal
Yummy Thai food!
When you need a warm and quick dinner around Penn station, this is the place.
I've visited this restaurant multiple times for dine-in with groups, and my earlier experiences (in early 2023) were positive, with good food portions and quality. However, their takeout service has been consistently disappointing. Orders are frequently incorrect—missing the right protein or portion size. Delivery drivers often demand specific tips and create unnecessary scenes if their expectations aren’t met.
The real issue, though, is the owner’s attitude. They are shockingly unprofessional and hostile toward any form of constructive feedback. Rather than addressing valid concerns, they resort to making false claims and attacking customers personally. This behavior is completely unacceptable and reflects a serious lack of accountability.
It's worth noting that their ratings have dropped significantly—from an impressive 4.9/5 to just 4.6/5—and yet they refuse to take any meaningful steps to improve. Instead of addressing legitimate complaints, they continue to dismiss feedback and lash out at customers.
I strongly recommend spending your money elsewhere. There are far better Thai restaurants in Manhattan with respectful management and reliable service—Reddit has some excellent recommendations. Zoob Zib simply doesn’t make the cut, and no one deserves the treatment this place dishes out.
Solid, but very small portions and spicy dishes had no spice
Świetne jedzenie, troszkę ciasny lokal, ale obsługa wszystkim sprawnie zarządza. Gorąco polecam
Quite possibly the best Thai I’ve ever had in my life. Ask them to throw in a little spice, it was the perfect kick to an already delicious meal. Wow.
Ordered Tom yum soup , basil rice , drunken noodles and calamari . The food was mediocre and way too sweet . The bill was around $100 and definitely not worth it disappearing
Great Thai restaurant. Everything we tried was delicious from the crab Rangoon to the curry puffs. Highly recommend?
amazing and fresh
We have had Thai food around the world, and this has been the best Thai food we have had in a long time. So flavorful and authentic. What a great find in NYC.
Great place in between Penn station and Hudson yards - tiny cozy place but the service was absolutely great ..
the food was excellent
Had the chicken Lo mein noodles , tofu drunken noodles pad kee mao and also tried the chives pancakes - the pancakes were hot and nice
Great taste
Recommend if you are in the area
Good drink collection as well
Very good food and reasonable price
We eat here every year when we go to Comic Con. The food is good. There's always a 20-minute wait while we're there. It's a little cramped, finding space for a foldable walker decided where we sat. Last outing, I could not find the restaurant's inspection grade anywhere.
Absolutely loved my experience at Zoob Zib Thai Authentic Noodle Bar! The flavors were incredible, and the dishes tasted just like the street food in Thailand. It's delicious, we ate so well that we came back today.
the service is great, it's good, the quantities are beautiful.
I recommend
If you love Thai food, you absolutely have to check out this place!
Yok was our server, and she was fantastic at helping us pick out the best dishes.
The food is delicious, the Thai iced tea is refreshing, and the atmosphere is vibrant. Plus, the service is top-notch!
As Arnie would say, “I’ll be back!”
It was expensive and not good.
Service was good but the food was average at best
We always make sure to stop here every year when attending Comic Con. The food is always delicious and we never have to wait long. The staff is always extremely attentive and friendly.
The restaurant is also very small and it gets very loud in there. I also couldn't find the Health grade posted anywhere.
Great Pad Thai, cozy place, and good service
I have been coming to Zoob Zib for 3+ years and the place never disappoints. Dare I say it’s one of my favorite restaurants in the city? The food is always delicious, the portions are generous, and the staff is friendly and efficient. I’ve chosen a night at zoob zib over evenings at fancy restaurants in the city because I know I will leave with a delicious meal at a great price. I could not recommend their basil fried rice enough— best in the city!!!!
Phenomenal food with attentive staff and fast service
Went there for a quick bite during my lunch break and was amazed at the portion and the delicious taste of my Pad Thai chicken.
Very simple but efficient place. Food is authentic and very delicious. Try to catch lunch hour specials 👍. Very friendly staff.
I found this noodle bar located near 35th and 9th Street. The restaurant was full, but I was seated right away and given a menu, and a bottle of complimentary water was placed on the table. After placing my order, I realized my amtrak departure time was actually 45 minutes earlier. I looked around and saw folks waiting for food, so I started to worry that it would be a long wait. My food came out fast, so I requested the check. The staff didn't go back and forth with me, which I really appreciated. They brought my check right away and the credit card machine to the table and provided my receipt. I ordered the beef stew noodle soup. It was hot, fresh, and so delicious. I only had 20 minutes, but I was able to enjoy my food because I knew I didn't have to wait after finishing it. As I looked around, I saw other dishes. Everything looked good. I will definitely be eating at this restaurant again in the future and look forward to trying other items on the menu.
Amazing good, service and atmosphere! We were visiting from Miami and asked our concierge for recommendations for Thai food- this family owned restaurant does not disappoint! We received a friendly welcome as soon as we entered- it is clean and has a very cool, fun vibe. Our server helped us select our food and was very attentive. We will be back!
Tasty, quick, simple and excellent recommendations.
It has been more than a year since my last visit. Food remains very good but portions have shrunk a little especially the duck.
Favorite spot near Penn station. Quick service and delicious Thai food. Noodles and curries are great. They also have a lunch special.
Really good, located in a neighborhood without a lot of great food options.
I'd recommend their soups and stir fried dishes. I used to take out a lot as I worked in the area, went recently for dine-in and the food was excellent as I'd remembered and still reasonably priced.
Best Thai food and mojito!! Love the customer service! Will be back again ❤️❤️❤️
I went there for my birthday and I had a great time with good food, I would definitely recommend
Simply astonishing the only thing that topped the atmosphere was the delicious food oh yeah…. Yeah
One of our favorite Thai spots in the city. We love the Pad Kee Maw and Red Curry. Highly recommend the Scallion pancakes too. Superb service. Nice staff.
Eas walking to the visit the High Line and ran into this place. Wife and I had their lunch special (Pad Thai with shrimp and zpas See Ew with crispy suck). Both dishes were very tasty and served quickly. Small place but service was great and food was good value for Manhattan. Definitely worth a try if looking for good noodles at a good price.
Service was phenomenal, and food was excellent.
They are so friendly and the food is so good! Very quick with the food too.
I got the peanut chicken and curry puffs and they were both delicious.
La comida fue exquisita… Peanut chicken and the Thai fried rice awesome… Shingha and Chang beer very soft…
I've been to this place a few times. Today when we sat down to order our food there was a cockroach 🪳 crawling on the table. 😕 The staff quickly switched the tables, squished the cockroach and were really apologetic about it. They even comped us with a free desert.
Overall, the food was ok, a bit too salty.
Amazing!
Tasty food and friendly service. Dining space is a bit small and the lighting too dark.
I am Thai and just came by to visit and really hard to find decent Thai spot for my own liking as Thai person and came across this Zoob Zib recommend by the hotel I am staying and I loved it a much. Really Thai to my opinion but little down side is the space was too busy and overly crowded. But it’s all right for me. Service was really attentive and nice. Thank you
All the way here and their health rating isn’t displayed in the window. They don’t have an A.
Since over a year this place haven’t been that good anymore, my usual order was salty and too sweet at the same time, the tables are getting stickier, I’m not giving it a chance anymore. Next time if I want to eat Thai food I’ll go somewhere else.
Delicious takeout and hearty Thai food
Food tastes fine but made me more nauseous than I’ve been in years. Felt so sick. Pretty bad experience because of that
Great food and good service. Just a bit noisy and place is a cramped. Worth going though.
Absolutely loved this place
Beats all the main restaurants in the tourist areas and is just simply amazing
Food was the best we had all trip and service was friendly and efficient
My number 1 recommendation for anyone in New York
Unreal service, very quick and efficient, whilst being very friendly and welcoming. The food is sooo nice, best meal I had in nyc.
Great food, but $$$
Amazing staff
The best noodles I've had in the city. I can't recommend the Pad Thai more! So tasty!
Great food, great service!
Good value for the money.
Recommend.
First I'd like to say the food is absolutely phenomenal. The drunken noodle game is crazy there's no words for it. Highly recommend the food. I write this because today the service was off-putting. I was waiting for someone to take my order for a bit and they kinda just watched me stand there. When I mentioned it to the server I feel as if they took a much longer time bringing it out to me. I've waited shorter times for much bigger orders and this one was just one. Definitely coming back but just here's to hoping next time the service is better. I'll update the star accordingly.
A very cozy small Thai Restaurant with authentic flavors. The staff was very cordial and helpful in everything. We ordered everything to share, as appetizers we had the Fresh Summer Rolls with shrimp and the Crab Rangoon, both were very nice and flavorful. As main dishes we had the Half Roasted Duck in Tamarind Sauce, it was so crispy, just a little tart in the right way, spicy as expected over a bed of crunchy broccoli. We had mixed seafood green curry the coconut made it sweet yet it was spicy as we like it. We had pork in massamen curry it was just delicious. We had the Pad Kee Mao with beef it was perfect. All plates were cooked and served to perfection. It was a pleasant delightful find. Definitely will go again.
Just left Zoob Zib and had an amazing experience! Small restaurant with a cool vibe and amazing staff, especially Yok. The food and drinks were delicious. Can’t wait to go back!
Delicious food. Excellent service!
Ristorante tailandese tipico.
Food was below average and not as compared to a highly rated restaurant(per google). There was a forced service fee of 18%
I got the duck noodle soup, about $20, it was very well made, soup was very good, and the duck had no bone. I am a picky eater, I would order it again
Wow, who knew pineapple fried rice could be so good? It's causing me to rethink my go to Thai restaurant. And it explains why the place was so packed. I'll be back for sure!
Great Thai Food! Super Fast Delivery! The prices are on the higher side though. It was the best take out I had in NYC in the last few months! Loved this place!!
This place was worth the hype and wait for their odd opening time! Absolutely authentic Thai food!! Even my boyfriend who’s half Thai said there’s some rare find food in this shop like Ye Tao Fu noodles, peanut dumplings (my all time favorite dish now). Super worth giving this shop a try!! They had so many people come in and eat at their opening hour already!! I’m still thinking about their peanut dumpling now that I’m back in the west coast. When I get the chance to visit New York again, this place will definitely be revisited!!
Friday night, with no reservation, there were only two tables available.
We placed our order and in 5 minutes we already got everything!
The pad thai was amazing, one of the best that I had considering the ones that I ate in Bangkok too!
The other dishes were also very good and drinks were perfectly balanced.
The only negative side is the really loud music with guests screaming instead of talking. After that half of the guests left it was much better.
I got the bill with already - surprise - an automatic 18% tip (no way to increase it?). I sincerely wanted to tip something more, you deserved it, next time I'll bring some cash with me.
Thank you again!
The service is great, fast, and on point. We ordered phad thai and it was one of the best I've tasted. We got some Calamari and Grilled Pork with Basil Sauce. The pork was a little on the dry side but we just bathe it with the basil sauce and it tasted decent. The servings are a little on the smaller side for the price but I am not complaining because the taste makes up for it.
We love going to the spot. It is truly authentic Thai food. It’s always busy and there no reservations, but they are quick to move people in and out without you feeling rushed. The cocktails are also fantastic and there is happy hour every day even on the weekend! I love going here for lunch or dinner or even takeout. Highly recommend
Прекрасное обслуживание, отличная еда. Персонал очень приветлив😊.
Утка вкусная)))
It was a little cold inside
Unfortunately our experience here was very poor. The food was not good and the ingredients tasted cheap. Fried Rice was dry and duck soup was salty and had almost no meat. The service was abysmal! Not only did I have to call the server over 4 times to bring essential items like utensils, napkins, water, and sauce. But they even forgot to bring us our drinks. They even had the audacity to charge us for the drinks that never came. When we brought it up to them they only offered to take the items off and only offered to bring us one small beer. We asked to at least bring us the drinks and they refused. They only offer a desert called sticky rice mango. It was literally only rice and mango slices… Moreover, I passed by this spot at least a thousand times. And finally decided to try it. Well I should have kept it that way and kept walking by!
Response to owner and updated review.
Thank for letting your entire customer base know that I went to the restroom twice. The first time I went to the restroom was when I arrived. The second time was when I was occupied with the food. Moreover, it’s not my job to remind you to bring me the drinks. I ordered with your server who inputted it into a computer. So no room for error since it’s not like your server forgot right? There could be so many reason why I didn’t say anything about the drinks. (Also, I didn’t look at your bartender weird? Looking at the bar is weird to you? I’m a curious guy) Maybe I thought it was customary to bring the drinks after the meal? Or Maybe I forgot about the drinks? Or Maybe I didn’t want the drinks anymore since they never came. Either way, the drinks didn’t come and they never came. Maybe you should take a class on hospitality and should have reviewed the bill before bringing it to us. Also we were the only patroons there without water or drinks. We felt like a ghost at your restaurant. It was so hard to get a hold of your servers that even one of your other customers saw us trying to get your server’s attention and they went out of their way to get your server’s attention to come help us…. Lastly, in conclusion you are wrong. There is no sense in coming here and responding with this pettiness of a response. You really think we were taking advantage? We just wanted our drinks. You didn’t even bring the lychee Martin OR the jasmine tea. We didn’t order ginger! Also when you offered the desert finally. We wanted fried rice. Yet you couldn’t accommodate that either? And brought us rice with mangos……. Just an overall terrible experience and we wish you the best! Ciao.
