The food is really good, lot of flavor and tasty. Avocado sushi rolls were the best among the lot. Pineapple fried rice was little too sweet even when ordered medium spicy level.

Staff was friendly , order arrived quickly too. The setup was small, cozy and warm. Great dinner choice of restaurant, if you are around .

On Fridays they usually close kitchen by 9:30pm. Be aware of that.

The food is amazing. I've been sampling a good bit of the Thai menu and the sushi menu, I have yet to be disappointed. Appetizers, soups, rolls, and main courses are all incredible. I would get everything again if I had more time near here.
Another item worth mentioning are their drinks. The Thai iced tea and Thai iced coffee has great flavor and sweetness to it. Another item recommended by our waitress is there tea drinks: these drinks are also refreshing and enjoyable.
Great staff, nice atmosphere, if you are in the area this is definitely worthy of a stop.

I remember going to this place very often, today after haven’t been there for a yr I went in and got the (shrimp fried rice ) didn’t know you pay separate for the shrimps)! They charge you for the fried rice and for the shrimps, $6.00 for 6 shrimps..

This place has changed, quality is not the same but the prices keep going up. You used to receive your Thai tea in a huge glass cup, not anymore. Also, it’s super milky now. $80 later on 3 plates, 2 teas..Crossing it off our list.

Nara’s in Baytown used to be my husband’s and my absolute favorite Thai spot! About six years ago, the curry was amazing, and the sushi was fantastic. Unfortunately, the food has gone downhill. The sushi and curry just aren’t as good as they used to be. I’ve ordered quite a few times hoping it will be what it used to be, but it just isn’t as delicious. With new management and a new sushi chef, the quality has really declined.

I LOVE the homemade chicken dinner and curry puffs but the basil fried rice was lacking flavor and it was very dry. I have gotten basil fried rice many times and loved it but this one missed the mark.

The medium pad khan chicken was just hot enough and SO flavorful. I couldn’t stop. We also had medium pad broccoli beef which was much sweeter and a yellow curry. This was our first Thai food experience and we’re in love.
The spring rolls were excellent and if you like sushi, we enjoyed the Baytown Roll - with a deep fried exterior and raw tri-fish interior.
Mali was a fantastic server with great recommendations and attention! We will be return!

If i can give 0 stars i would. Not a welcoming place whatsoever. I thought i was the only one who had a bad experience and rudeness from the waiter but after seeing reviews not sure why this place is still open. I wasn’t welcomed nicely to begin with i saw a sign in the entrance where you have to wait to be seated and when i asked she said how many ppl ma’am ok sit there ma’am pointed towards where but with a freaking attitude then i asked can i use your restroom first and she pointed where but again with a attitude as if its a inconvenience for me to have asked anything. Then i sat down she rushed me for a drink but then gave me a menu with no drink options as a first time customer am i supposed to read minds and know what drink options they have. She was so rude even towards my children as if they annoyed her. Food was awful old vegetables from last week dry and stale. i only ordered papaya salad who can eat comfortably with a waiter not making you feel welcomed. Then i asked if you can write on a table paper which is intended for kids to draw on and she gave me her dry as response “yes” like if it cost her alot to be polite! I left no tip. She earned nothing. First and last time ever coming here.

I eat super hot spicey,so I did not enjoy the fact when young lady would not honor my request to make food a level 5...so I had to go home and add more heat/spice to food.food was good,other than this was okay nothing special.

Excellent food. Was in town last weekend and stopped but with some old friends. Glad we did. Green curry was good. Pineapple rice was a banger. Tom yum soup was a banger.

Food is always good every time I come. Not a lot of atmosphere, but I'm here for the food. The Thai Chashew Nut with chicken is my favorite, never lets me down. The chicken is crispy, and sauce has a lot of flavor.

Another gem in my list of Thai experiences. Awesome taste to different foods no matter what you order. Associated this place with this work place I visit and can't wait to come again.

I love this place. Start off with a handcrafted flavored tea (pomegranate strawberry) it is very tasty and comes with fresh fruit.

Appetizers are very good, the chicken satay and shaggy dog , curry puffs are all delicious.

I love to get their orange chicken, it has a wonderful presentation and sauce, each piece has a great light crunch followed by a delicious piece of chicken.

The thing I like most about this place is the food is made fresh at the front and comes piping hot.

The staff is very friendly and will even joke with you if you order something that’s actually Chinese and not Thai!!

I have been eating here about 5 years. This place was awesome back then. I cant remember how many people that i had recommmended this place for them.i work near by so I did order for lũnch every week, some time their food burn my stomatch whole night but i love their flavor. But sadly my previous visit could be my last.
I went there with my wife, saturday night but not busy, the waitress greeted us and point into a direction mãde us confused. Then she come and point into a table with menu and stuff preserved on there. I was impressed with the chair.(picture).
She come asked for drink , but she dont give me any menu that have drink on it. :D ? I asked about the menu, she said it on the other one , still not give that to me. Another waitress get a little standee on another table which have tea menu on it and give to me, thanks her a lot.
I ordered 1 thai tea for my wife and 1 mango lychee tea for myself. Thai tea come out as expected, but the tea i ordered, omg, mango lychee tea, just water with sugar and some pieces of fruit ( orange, strawberry, blueberry), what? Where is my lychee and mango ? (picture).
Drink our tea for 15 mins, waiter all talking in the counter, no one come take order for us so I have to call them and said we are ready. I ordered 1 pad thai, 1 philadelphia roll, and tomyum soup.

But not yet, after getting home, we cant sleep cause the burn by their food. Haiz.

I’ve come here for years. Brought family & friends. I loved the food but now the thought of it makes me sick to my stomach simply because of the manager, Mali. This was my go to place to bring myself on solo dates. Faithfully ordered take out. Each time I’ve encountered the unpleasant attitude of Mali but I always took in consideration of her position. I never assumed it was anything more than just her being busy and hardworking. Until tonight, I had to refuse my takeout and ask for my money back. Her blatant attitude towards me tonight made it clear that it was more than a busy day for her. She made statements that I’d have an attitude when I come in or call on the phone. I pray she receives the healing & deliverance because that is just pure deception. I had to write this review because I’ve never experienced this before lol & i am utterly devastated that i will never eat here again

This was our first time here trying the Thai food. It did not disappoint. I can't fully remember what we ordered but both dishes were amazing. My wife ordered the soup, it was OK but we wouldn't order again, Tom Yum Shrimp Soup. They are the only true place that lives up to providing spice. They have a chart from 1-5. My wife ordered a 3 but I ordered a 4. The waitress looked at me like, white boy you can't handle a 4 . I backed down to a 3, which made her happy. I'm glad I did, a 3 was on the verge of being too hot. But damnit it was good. I couldn't stop eating it.
The only issue I had was getting water quick enough to the table. The service was OK but not great.

Definitely plan on going back.

Today I had a very unexpected negative experience at Nara. I'm was a huge fan of this place but not anymore. The young lady that took my order was great but when I picked up my order the lady behind the counter (probably manager) was so rude. She had an attitude with me and said for your information we stop serving at 9:30pm and I told her that the online it doesn't specify that information. She said all chinese restaurants do the same as if I'm already supposed to be aware of this information. In conclusion all I'm saying is if you're going to run a restaurant, good food is served with good customer service. Needless to say I will not be back.

First time here and very impressed. The ambiance is very relaxing and welcoming. Our server, Cat was terrific and very knowledgeable about the menu. Portions were HUGE and absolutely delicious. Highly recommend.

i love the food from here so much but the take out prices are more expensive than getting it delivered to my house on doordash. i should have sat down at a table, ordered my food, and boxed it up myself or just had it delivered. Do NOT do take out here.

Waiter/manager is rude, walks away before I finish ordering and acts like it’s an inconvenience. She put my food on the table so carelessly that it almost spilled. I wonder if it’s because I am a poc, I noticed she doesn’t treat everyone this way and she’s extra nice to certain types of people.

10/10 recommend! We got crab angels and they had so much cream cheese in them! So yum and I got Pad April Khing with beef and it was so saucy and flavorful. My boyfriend got the pad Thai spicy chicken and he said it was really spicy but a good spicy! We will be back!!

Sadly won't be coming here anymore. Mali the manager has absolutely no service skills. She got the wrong protein in my soup and forgot my appetizer. My soup was redone with the same ingredients as the original which was beef soup(I wanted chicken) there was still beef in the soup when she brought it back which was a mess and obviously thrown together with the old bowl. When I informed her she also forgot my appetizer she came and aggressively told me that she forgot it and if I still wanted it. Didn't apologize once. She has been giving me attitude the last few times I came in I never understood why. When I brought this up and let her know the way she treated me was unacceptable she argued with me loudly and said I'm not the kind of customer she needs to treat well. She then walked away not helping me with anything I asked her for. I regularly spent around $100 here. I will no longer do so and will ask the many people I introduced to this place to no longer come. Again sad the food is decent most the time.

I'm visiting Baytown and was looking for a good Thai restaurant to visit before I even came to town. I checked the menu, and was absolutely ecstatic to find that so many of the menu options could be subbed for tofu, which is mine and my daughter's favorite!

Unfortunately half of our order contained tofu and it was all sour. At first they tried to tell me that it was new and fresh. I asked them to take the appetizer plate (tofu triangles) back and try it. Someone then came back, seeming annoyed, and asked if I wanted more tofu and then said it was the suppliers fault.

I'm not someone that likes posting negative reviews. I was dreading mentioning the spoiled tofu to the waitress. But sometimes people leave conversations feeling embarrassed, ashamed, and like a huge inconvenience for having complained. This was one of those times, and it was more than just the tofu that left a sour taste in my mouth :(

On the other hand, my husband loved whatever sushi roll he got lol

I got the red curry w/ tofu, triangle tofu, & sticky rice w/ mango~ I got the curry at a spice level 5, and the lady warned me it was super spicy, it was perfect! I live for Spice and wow it did not disappoint

We have been dining here for years and the food is always excellent! Highly recommend the fried duck plate, it's the owners personal recipe and it's honestly the best dish in Baytown. The duck is perfectly crispy and the garlic sauce is flavorful without being overwhelming, definitely a must try!

The heat scale fluctuates as expected with chilis (1-5). Ordered pad thai at 4 once and it was a 7, the next trip scared, ordered 3 and got 1. When it's hot, it's real hot!

Best Seafood Tom Yum I've ever had.

Went in with the family yesterday. Not only was the food extremely delicious, the whole staff was attentive to my children (and we have a lot) which made the dinning that much more enjoyable. Great food and even greater people.

I have been happy with nara thai until last Dec. 1 2022 when I order a Mango and Sticky rice through doordash. I always go to this place and i know mango should be ripe and yellow and I dont understand why you guys will put unripe and hard mango with a sticky rice? Its unfair! I wish you dont have ripe mango just tel customer you dont have . mango. I was mad and disappointed. Dont do this to your orher customer what you did to me. Wont go back and wont recommend.

shrimp fried rice tasted extremely fishy, I asked to get it taken off my ticket as I wasn’t going to eat it. Manager/cooker came out had a attitude and was arguing with me that they don’t take items off tickets and that the recipe doesn’t call for anything to make it fishy.. keyword “Shrimp fried rice”

This has become our favorite Thai restaurant in the area. Everything is always fresh! We always used to order the yellow chicken curry and added extra shrimp. Then we moved on to red curry which is spicier and tastier. And on the last two visits we have tried a sushi I think the name is Red Devil? It’s loaded with crab on top and it is just perfect. We always add an order of their veggie egg rolls as a side. These come out steaming hot so watch your mouth! We tried another dish on our very last visit that’s made with chicken, green beans and a curry paste and it has a balanced sweet and spicy flavor (pad prik king). I posted a photo of their mango sticky rice, the mango is always sweet. We tried something called custard on on the order pictured and it was good, I don’t remember what it was made of but the lady working explained how it was made and the ingredients involved. Their Thai coffee is also very refreshing and not overly sweet. I don’t regularly order iced coffee as I don’t like the flavor but this restaurant has a completely different iced coffee than other places. I highly recommend it. I had been meaning to write a review after our first visit about it a year ago since we loved it, it has been a consistent great experience. They are clean inside. It is a cozy place to visit. They have a big white paper that covers the entire table and if you want to or your kids want to, they can color. It’s really good if you’ve got little ones to keep them busy. The staff is also very friendly and attentive. My husband asked one of the ladies about Thailand and she ended up making us want to visit it one day. I have nothing but great things to say about this place.

If you’re looking for a good sushi place, keep looking. $20 for a few unseasoned pieces. I should’ve waited until our usual places were opened again tomorrow because we paid $50 for lunch for 2 of us?! To share some sushi and one entree… huge rip off. Sadly disappointed

Great service!! Called in my order, slight mixup but quickly corrected and gave a Thai Tea on the house. Very delicious 😋 Will definitely be back and highly recommend!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND, DON'T GO

I had the signature Thai dish Pad Thai with beef. The beef tasted like reheated liver, the noodles were over cooked, barely taste peanuts (even with the spoon full of crush on the side, I asked for Thai hot and I got a spice thats a hair over ketchup, over all the food was not pleasant.

One guy there stood next to the table and kept making comments to my toddler, creepy.

5 people total and they wanted an automatic 15%+ gratuity, never heard doing that with only 5, 2 of which were toddlers. Plus a line for me to add more tip.

I don't give bad reviews, not my style, but honestly this place was complete S***.

Food is always delicious and they have a wide selection of tea! The staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is nice and chill. Definitely my favorite place to eat in Baytown!

Our family loves it here, the food is delicious and made to order. Quality ingredients and the staff is awesome they’re very nice people that take the time to explain what the entrees are and what everything comes with. Definitely a repeat customer and would recommend!

Our favorite place to eat now. We have gone probably 5 or 6 times in the past month. The pad Thai is amazing. my wife gets it at a zero spice and I get a 3 out of 5. I also love the poor man noodle and most of the desserts. My wife also loves the sushi, especially the cherry blossom. The sampler appetizer is great as well but filled both of us up. The staff recognized my voice after only going a few times when we ordered takeout. Was a nice touch. Couldn't recommend enough!

Love having lunch here, my favorite to have is the Tom yum soup with shrimp. Sushi is delicious. Fried rice and stir fry vegetables are a good combo for a side. Never been disappointed here.

When I did live in Baytown this was my favorite. I can't honestly complain about anything I got from there and they're very nice people.
